Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
The 911 body set doesn't have holes. https://images.amainhobbies.com/images/large/tam/tam51543.jpg Very cool, thanks for that! That gives me some ideas. Have to do the silver boxart on this kit body, but would like another body to make custom. Got the wheels on before anything else was done. Chassi...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
What do you do when you have an A stamp chassis and transmission laying around, as well as a 10T nose and suspension?
Rounded it out with some old ECX shocks and cheap electronics from the parts box.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Just finished up painting the RC10 DS RERE body. Decals next, then it'll be done and displayed next to the other 3 RERE kits from this year. After a test drive of course.

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Tried the 31mm wide wheels in the rear, they rub. Put the correct 26mm wide rear wheels on, and it's a perfect fit. https://i.imgur.com/FRfjbi6.jpg Can slam it on the ground and it still clears the chassis and wells. https://i.imgur.com/toM5SAK.jpg Think I'm going to get rid of the window decals, th...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
I masked the wrong side of the front rims yesterday, and sprayed them :x Had to remove all of the TS-29 off the backside hoop of the front wheels, and then mask and spray them correctly. The directions are a bit vague. https://i.imgur.com/Csk6iHc.jpg Going to cut out the 911 body and hopefully paint...

Love ya' Tamiya, but the window masks and decals not being pre-cut is a lot of work.

About another hour to go.

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Yeah, cutting decals can be very time consuming but I always prefer to do it myself anyway. When they are die-cut, they never seem to trim close enough to the edge of the color which leaves this clear border that creates a visible edge that doesn't look so nice. The decals surrounding the headlight...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
Only one way to do that paint job justice and that’s an airbrush.

Re: Source Nix91 "Replica" Parts Without Shapeways??
Hi Doug, Much appreciated for sharing your good experiences about iMaterialise. I am glad to know this and it gives me some encouragement. Only issue is that Niki only put the "racer" parts up. Hoping he will add the replicas. iMaterialise are charging about $23 for UPS shipping to Arizona...

Re: Source Nix91 "Replica" Parts Without Shapeways??
Niki had an impressive catalog of RC10 parts available through Shapeways but now that they're gone, I really hope he is able to locate another printing service to work with. If we lived in a perfect world, we could offer our designs for home printing and trust they wouldn't subsequently be stolen f...

Have you contacted GP3D? They sell a '91 kit. Not sure if you can get just the plastics or if you have to purchase a full kit but, worth an email to find out...
