Re: My RC10 (runner)

How to shorten the T2 chassis was explained by scr8p as follows “it's super simple to shorten the t2 tub to A, B, and C tub length. the nose plate, buggy (old style) or truck, has 2 sets of mounting points, so either one can be used to do it. simply attach the nose plate to the t2 tub using the fron...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I got this today, but it shrunk in the mail. What is this?! It’s the graphite parts for a 1/32 scale RC10. I posted a few months back a miniature RC10 created by Nigel - search NRC-32. Nigel did an amazing job designing and building this fully function 32 scale RC10 replica. It’s an awesome project...

Re: Scr8p's Worlds Re-re #3 / Modern Kinwald Replica- '93 Worlds

Well, it's finally done. And, I'm racing this weekend at the Vonats! https://i.postimg.cc/Y2mSn5j4/IMG_20190912_181030.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VvMLJC29/IMG_20190912_181047.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/k5X4TDt9/IMG_20190912_181133.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/52my58yn/IMG_20190912_181109.jpg https://i.posti...

Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

The car looks great. I just ordered mine and it should be here by the weekend. :) Thanks for the info on the stickers and masks.... I actually just watched the ONE guy on YouTube who chronicled his TO rere build, and I could see that he painted the center of the body red, but it appeared the side po...

Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

Turned out very nice. :D Another option on the pinstripe might be the Pactra trim tape if it's still available, I've got a roll of black tape that has 7 different thicknesses on it, not sure if it can be used on the inside of the body or not. I found using automotive glass cleaner to apply the stick...

Re: Yo-clone-oh Dogfighter

No breakages in two days , that's seven runs and I'm starting to treat it like any other car , I've cartwheeled it several times , run it into the fence a few times , I've got a little course set up with a jump , its not a huge modern jump and its on grass but I'm not babying the car anymore , the g...

Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

Wow, that looks really nice! Bigger tire spikes would look more at home, but those aren't too bad.

Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

Thanks Keith. :D I think you're right about the bumper... P1010560.jpg Kyosho packs both bumpers in the box so you won't need to choose. The bigger bumper definitely makes the car look more vintage. Now, if I could only do something about those hideous tires.... That looks a lot better. Actu...

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild

That stripped body looks really good IMO. If you decide to go with the same (or close) color, it will come out excellent - of course the downside is if you didn't like the blue. If you decide on a different color, it won't look that great. I've gotten used to re-painting them the same color.

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild

Nice work so far. A great way to strengthen a body is to apply drywall mesh tape to the inside with Shoe Goo. I read about that tip on RCTech.net and strengthened the whole bottom front and rear of my CYANide 'Cuda body that way, after painting it.

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild

I'll second the drywall mesh tape and shoe goo. If your paint is well adhered, the mesh/shoe goo composite is almost bullet proof. Thanks, too, for posting update photos. Because of one of your photos, I just discovered that I have a Kyosho trans brace and spacers in my stash, that I've been wonderi...

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild

Looks really great, don't sweat the minor imperfections, historically the cars were only perfect the second before the 1st race. After that the battle wounds began and add character. That's what I tell my wife about my own personal chassis too :D
