Chassis nearly done. https://i.imgur.com/6pdcitk.jpg In Bag D are (4) small 4-40 nuts, and (2) large 4-40 nuts, the manual doesn't say which nuts go where: The large 4-40 nuts in Bag D, go on the rear shock tower shock bolts. https://i.imgur.com/cVNnXTn.jpg No shocks yet, propped up to ride height. ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Built the Dirtmaster. Feels like a really solid car. Just need to paint up a body and give it a shakedown run.

Re: Fan RC FR-01
Maybe some 1000 grit sandpaper would clean up the rings? Also, it seem like sometimes a ring has a good side and a bad side.
The McMaster Carr washers seem to work well for diff rings. I have them in 2 gearboxes now and they are working well.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Always welcome! Drag Mags were aftermarket wheels, early 60's to early 70's muscle cars. On your Vette the DS wheels really do look better without the caps. By the way... "Let me have a diablo sammich, a Dr Pepper and make it fast. I'm in a g d hurry. -- Buford T. Justice" ...hands down b...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
I hate cutting wheel wells, probably because I suck at them.
I found these drift wheels for my bandit build. At the time DS wheels were crazy expensive and these were pretty cheap so what the heck.

That TA decal set is impressive! It includes tinting for windows and even the T-tops. I don't have a Pontiac in my on-road collection. Can no longer resist - ordering one now. :D HPI bodies are as good as it gets imo, I really appreciate their attention to detail. The Kyosho Fazer MK2 RTR b...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
As I get closer to running this DS, I'm not really comfortable gluing and peeling out on these tires that are irreplaceable, that's one of the very things that makes me not run some of my vintage RC's. I'm starting to think about foam instead, won't look as good, but I don't want to ruin the DS whe...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Today I finished assembling my Kyosho DirtMaster - well, the chassis anyway. I'll get around to painting the body and wing some day. I also finished this cad model: Dirt Master2.jpg Dirt Master1.jpg Dirt Master3.jpg It's pointless, I know, but I enjoy making digital models of my RC's. BTW, "Di...
