Re: RC10T Classic Re-Release Build Video and Key Takeaways

Did some testing and tuning the other day at World of RC with the RC10T Classic. I didn’t break any “real” parts, only two of the stock ballcups. Honestly if you’re going to run this truck it isn’t even worth it to take the stock ball cups out of the bag. They’re brittle, grip the turnbuckle far too...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Then I noticed on the instructions that came with the solid axle (in Japanese) that there was a 0.2mm spacer pictured on one side of the axle, before the bearing. Could that possibly make the difference? Yep..... a 0.2mm spacer is the difference between gear mesh and skipping mesh. Could have knock...

Re: The dog thread

Dogs are such faithful companions. Even at 16 Buster still offers to help carry the bacon to the table.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Chased the 4014 for a little ways today. It was a couple hours from home and my timing was bad, almost missed it. Literally parked as it was coming around for the bend. Ended up stopping at the bend for a quick lube job

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!

AE seems to have found a price point they like. Seems ok with me for one. I'm glad to support their 2024 rere efforts. 🚗

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!

Not exactly low hanging fruit but I reckon AE expects to sell enough DS's to at least break even on their investment. It would have been much less risky for them to re-re the Team car. My guess is that the CC, 40th and 10T have met and/or exceeded expectations, therefore making the DS an easier re-...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!

I think the DS appeals to a far greater audience than the '10L for runability. Pan cars are specifically meant for carpet tracks where the DS can be run anywhere. I thought I've also read something on here about manufactures no longer producing modern pan cars due to the interest no longer being the...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!

We used to put street tires on all our buggies because we didn't have very good off-road driving spots. To me, the DS seems like AE acknowledging that was how buggies were getting used and going along with it by making it into a better street conversion. I'm still jealous of LoboNYC's personal DS tr...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!

By chance, did Losi or other AE competitors counter with their version of the DS? Or, did the 2wd, rubber tire, on-road concept just not catch on? One could argue that the DS was merely a later homage to Schumacher's 911 turbo SE - 2wd, based off a buggy, gearbox, offroad shocks all round, onroad t...
