Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review

First day on the track with the XX4 yesterday. Esc performed perfect until I clipped a pipe and striped out a servo horn. Got about 15 min run time on it before I broke it. Didn't bother hitting the esc with a temp gun---it was still cool to the touch. I pretty sure my xx4 is going to fail before th...

Re: Bruiser wheel fitment ?

Look at G-Made wheels. Not sure if they have exactly what you're looking for, but their wheels are reasonably priced and I've found them to be very good quality. I bought a set of chromed plastic 3 piece truck wheels for my Optima truck build and was very happy with them. iirc they were under $30

Re: HG-P407 "Bruiser Clone" Arrived Today!

Not yet. I have a few things planned for this truck. Different tires being the first thing. At this price, I can afford to build a nice scaler and drive it like a rental

Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review

The boost, or timing advance through the esc is adjustable in increments as you can see here. This is my truck attached to my laptop with the interface.

Re: HG-P407 "Bruiser Clone" Arrived Today!

As far as tapering the ends of the springs, it does work, but there are other easier and cheaper methods to gain the same thing. First, take a close look at the spring mount and both ends of the shackle mount. The spacer/bushing in mine were just a hair short which allows the spring hanger or shackl...

Re: “ToyAto Crawler” HG-P407 (the black kit)

Your truck looks very nice. Inner fender wells are a nice touch. The Grey interior and painted half look a ton better on a black truck.

New paint job for my B6

I strayed from my usual race colors on this. Hard to see in the pics, but I laid down white pearl with gold flecks before spraying the purple. 8)

Re: HG-P407 "Bruiser Clone" Arrived Today!

Looking good. That seems to be the most popular tire to swap onto these trucks. I got my new tires in the mail and finally got them mounted. They don't fit onto the bruiser wheels tightly and it would be easy to accidentally glue one off-center. A little bit of patience and some careful gluing and a...

Might be the coolest vintage video ever!

This video was so cool, I had to pass it along. Probably posted around here before. The music is so 70's and what do you call that gear shift transmitter and where do I get one? too freakin' cool--- I had to share.

Re: Graphite build opinions

Just my opinion on the transmission--- leave the trackmasters for circle track cars, leave the hydra-drives on the losi's, Stealth is always a rockstar, and you forgot some of the coolest options----the A&L Leathal Weapon belt drive and the MIP SP1. For pure cool factor my vote would be the A&am...

Re: HG-P407 "Bruiser Clone" Arrived Today!

Did a little rear bumper work. I never liked the stock one. Too wide and sat too low. I trimmed down the stock bumper and made some small plates to attach the bumper mounts on top of the frame rails. The results won't win a concours show, but it is very effective at protecting the rear of the body w...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2020 ** - Winner - dinglem

What!? No love for the snowmobile? I figured as much, but wanted to participate to start off the new year. :D
Orangemazda----that Radiant is absolutely badass. Best one I've seen. I'm truly jealous that it's not in my collection.
Lots of beautiful machines to start off the year with.
