This was the next day at the Blue Lake, Saint Battens, Central Otago light is hard to replicate.

Re: Finally found a Triumph
Hand cut a gearbox brace and started to come together.
Replaced all the screws with Stainless cap screws as i was going.
The wing mounts tapped to M2.5 but I'm not sure if I'll keep it as I found the JJ ultima wing kits, and I'm liking the old school wire thing.
See how it pans out.

Re: Finally found a Triumph
Manobet in France fabricates a brass bulkhead for the Triumph, but there's a reason you PM him for prices, that amazing work he does costs for a reason.
So pretty, and unbelievable craftmanship but not in my budget unfortunately,

Re: Finally found a Triumph
Vice grips, a belt sander, dremmel and some patience, Trying something different on the inside of the front bulkhead instead. Certainly not that level, but making do without a CNC. Contemplating using the leftover brass to fit one under the servo if the geometry allows the servo horn and to clear the...

Re: Finally found a Triumph
Its good, compared it to the factory shell? (blue in my case), TBG is slightly thicker, but the roll cage pressing is accurate, and the 3-piece wing is accurate too. I also got an undertray and gear cover from team penguin in the UK. I must have got 8 or 10 shells from TBG and always been mint, coul...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I have to get off nightshifts, those japanese auction sites are too tempting, and they seem to finish at 3am.
Couldnt resist another Futaba 3PD PCM 1024 set, this one still with box and instructions, the NIcd etc is well past its best, but barely a scratch on it.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Same Gentlemen sold me this laser a week after he kindly adjusted the buy now on a Kyosho Rocky.
Both need serious amounts of TLC but they were local and didn't need to pay as much again on shipping.
Not convinced i needed either, but got plenty of bits around to make up a decent runner.

Re: So You're Into RC Cars. WTF Else Do You Do?
And BBQ Repair, somehow? A good friend of mine was dumping this stainless bbq, so i rescued it and over several evenings of podcasts and bourbon, cleaned it up in my shed as a surprise for my lovely lady. Came out great, i expoxy'd new magnets onto the door latches, replaced screws with new stainles...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Port Jackson, Coromandel Region.
New Zealand.
This is a Government department of conservation campsite, nz$10 a night each, cold water showers and composting toilets, but can't beat the views, and a tent site on the beach.
