Re: Custom Battery Pads!
The sparkle sheets looks cool, but avoid those as it flakes off and gets everywhere

Re: Custom Battery Pads!
HI!... I use the felt ones on my car stands. One on the top between the car and stand so it doesn't scratch the bottom of the car. Another one between the stand and my wood shelves so I don't scratch the shelves.

Re: Custom Battery Pads!
HI!... I use black 4x4 fence post tops from Home Depot. I trim them down on my Rigid table saw. Made up a jig for them. They look good and are cheap. Like $2. http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo58/Neal330ci/Neals%20RC%20Shop/Img_5855.jpg http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo58/Neal330ci/Neals%20RC...

Re: Servo tape for a servo
I only use tape to secure receivers and ESCs. All of my servos have mechanical mounts, whether factory equipped, adapted or manufactured from scratch. I've never met a tape that was as strong as a rigid mount with mechanical fasteners.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
So excited yesterday when it arrived. Immediately opened it. All seals intact, but...shock oil everywhere!! A lot pooled up in the end of box where it has soaked up into the box. Spent this evening wiping all the bags, chassis and body with Dawn to remove the oil. I'm not very happy. The body is lik...

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Yes to the trans issue!!i must have put together 30 or more stealth trans and result them but never had any issues like this China one! I spent atleast 2 hours hand fitting the topshaft to the idler gear. I was not happy at all about it. I almost put a rpm trans or a black stealth case new built tra...

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Just finished building mine, minus the socks and electrics. The tranny is tight, but it feels like it should free up after a bit. I did have one of the screws that hold the rear arm mounts snap at the head, but it just looks like that particular screw had issues while being machined or cast. All in ...

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Actually Cliff had even told me that back in the day they would grease their gears with the diff lube to help improve efficiency of the transmission. The diff grease is actually an excellent grease for plastic (but terrible for metal on metal, which is why it works so well on the diff ball and keep ...
