Re: PB Mini Mustang Refurb

If you'd like some more comparisons..... This is Schumacher U1399Q, the 2-speed setup for the Daytona. Schumacher 2Speed.jpg Later came U1665X (offroad) / U1666Y (onroad), the 2-speed setup for the later mk.3 Nitro 10 range. U1666_Nitro10_TwoSpeed.jpg The first version is pretty much a copy of the P...

Re: Brimod Prototype Car

OK, so i just got off the phone to Tim Lucas, the ex-Brimod test driver. It turns out that this was the actual car that he drove, covertly, in around '87 - '88. He told me that the Brimod guys entered it in secret into the Stafford round of the Radio Race Car Off-Road 4WD National Series (I am looki...

Tamiya Hi-Lux Monster Racer NIB

I was a bit heartbroken when I had to sell my mint Hi-Lux build last year. Link here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=44190 Well, finding this shrink wrapped truck definitely makes up for it! It's pretty crazy that a 30 year old truck like this is still sealed in the box. This thin...

Re: HG-P407 "Bruiser Clone" Arrived Today!

I installed some 2 stage foam inserts today from Crawler Inovations. Prolines come with nice memory foam inserts, but on a heavy truck (Mine weighs in at 8 lb.-6 oz), they are the equivilent of having 4 flat tires. With the stock foams , the truck is pretty much riding on the rim while running on a ...

Saved a few 30+ year olds

Might not be a big deal, but I restored a 30+ year old Wild Willy. The only decal I have always loved, and thought is just a part of this particular car, is the "club" suit decal. I did not have high hopes, but was able to lift this 30 year old decal, and save it from turning to dust. I re...

Re: “Mad Dog Racer”

The old Pro-Line bumper is mounted together with a reinforcement for the front shock tower that my brother folded for me. I also did some threading, M3 for the shock tower and M4 for the bumper. I think this will improve the sturdiness of the bulkhead in case of a crash. Yokomo Racer 188.jpg Yokomo ...
