Re: RC10 Noob Questions

Too much play. The zip ties lock it up so make sure you have a decent servo or run a servo saver on it. Some people used orings and that worked well to stiffen it without locking it up

Re: RC10 Noob Questions

When you first received it, I suggested replacing the bellcranks with something else. That is why.

They are also prone to cracking and breaking where the ball studs attach.

I use the Worlds pieces on most of my cars, but I also have Houge, JConcepts, and DS ones as well.

Re: Team Car vs Worlds Car (black pan)

Do all original C stamps lack the counter sinking on the 6 gear holes? No, as I said most lack it but not all. By a different alloy does that mean the A&B were 6061 and the C milled were 7075. A, B, and plain C were 6061. Worlds milled C stamp were 2024. Were the nose plates also made different...

Re: Today, Right Now, Your Most Fun RC Surface Vehicle?

I've been having way too much fun with my Losi Mini-B. It drives so much like a 1/10 buggy but with the benefit that I can build a track for it in my basement. I've installed completely new electronics - a Savox mini servo, a sensored 24mm motor, hobbywing 10bl60sd esc, and a Noble NB4 radio system....

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

After a lot of trial and error I have settled on the finish for these parts. Way more time than I expected. The larger motor plate was the test bed for the anodization. It was in the worst condition of all the pieces. Almost all articles on ano of Duralumin and it's closest cousin 2024 stated, the f...

Dadio wrote: Sun Apr 25, 2021 12:24 pm There was a little + camber on the rear , sorted now , I think the turnbuckles are too long as I can't get much less than neutral camber so I'll have to trim them a little .
I'm pretty sure that I use 30mm turnbuckles on the rear of all my cars. They fit the front camber links to (short arm).

Re: Vintage RC market predictions -

The value for vintage anything that's good quality will only go up, this should be no surprise to anyone. It doesn't matter whether it's RC, musical instruments, car parts, etc...if it's quality and it's old, the value always goes up. I've always said one caveat to this, however: vintage crap is sti...

Re: Vintage RC market predictions -

Also rarity as well. Just because something is rare, doesn't always make it worth a lot. Sometimes it has the opposite effect. The item is rare for a reason. I'm pessimistic when it comes to the future value of R/C. Unlike mainstream hobbies and collectibles, I feel R/C in general has become a niche...
