Yokomo YZ10 97 JMRCA Specification

Here is a Yokomo YZ10 Pavidis Edition with the 97 JMRCA Specification parts installed. These 3 specific parts were used in prototype form by the Yokomo Team at the 1997 IFMAR Worlds Warm-Up event and later that year released in production form and won the 1997 All Japan National Titles driven by Mas...

Re: Yokomo YZ10 97 JMRCA Specification

Hi Dual, That’s a beautiful’97 ! May I ask if those are Team Suzuki hubs that came originally black anodized? And did Yokomo ever released the Pavidis front one-way pulley as a spare part? Best, Shian Thank you Shian and blast. Very much appreciated. To answer your questions Shian, the Team Suzuki ...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

I don't think I really have a "favorite" esc. Throughout my racing days I was pretty much a Tekin guy. 411p, 412p, P2, G9, etc. I did have a few Novak esc's like a T1x and a T4 in my early days that I picked up used. As for esc's in my collection, I'd probably go with something that is on ...

Re: Mugen Athlete 1/8 Build

When I was working at Tammies, a very large hobby shop in Oregon, the Athlete was the 1/8 to have. We also sold the inferno, hodr, and pirate m1 but the Athlete was by far the choice for racing. Our shop even made a couple purple anodized braces for the front to center and rear to center. So, what’s...

Mugen Athlete build

Here goes the start of my Mugen Athlete build. I have already begun a Mugen Super Sport build thread which has sat idle for quite a while. It is waiting on parts to be anodized. I am hoping to finish both of them in the near decade. This build starts with a very special milled and hard anodized chas...

Re: Mugen Athlete build

Getting the front end started. I am using carbon fiber towers from a Super Athlete. Also using front and rear upgraded aluminum pivot blocks.

I was fortunate to find 2 pairs of new shocks in blue. I think they will fit well with the purple on the rest of the car.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Inferno - New Rebuild

I added these gold anodized aluminum C-hubs to the front. I'm not sure who made them, but they are machined very nicely. I had originally planned to install these blue aluminum pieces, but the fit is a little different, so I believe they are for a MP5/6. They could have been made to work, but it wou...

Re: Reedy Modifieds - which one would be your favorite?

This example is quite cool, and looks very much like your standard off-the-shelf Reedy modified, even so far as that the defining ‘Dot/Star’ has fallen off over time. However this motor has been sourced directly from Team Associated, Yokomo and Reedy driver Michael Ebert, who raced at a pretty high ...

Re: 1994 Yokomo YZ-10 Box Stock Restoration

I think the chances of coming across that Ko Propo servo are pretty slim but it was the only part that was really holding this project up, so I threw in a placeholder to wrap things up. Eleven years after starting this project, it is hard to believe I am finally in the home stretch….did some work th...
