Re: Retro RC10 shell for the B4??
Will let you all know when i've got the +8 ones ready. Will have a go at drawing a Protech style one too :) yeah, if that is predominantly a B2 body and fits a B2, count me in on a scoopless one! None of it is the same as a B2 shell, will only fit the B4. I've been meaning to try to make a B2 shell ...

Re: Retro RC10 shell for the B4??
Here it is, have the same one with or without a scoop. Scoop is so big I could fit a Mamba Max pro in there with fan. Have been modifying the moulds slightly so they'd work with the +8 but haven't got around to finishing them yet.

Re: Retro RC10 shell for the B4??
Just wondered if anyone did a retro RC10 style shell for the B4?? I'm sure I saw bugle boy make one but just been on his website and can't see it, maybe I'm going mad! Lol I do have a retro B4 shell (not on the website at the moment) but it's more of a B2 style than RC10. I am tempted to make a pro...

Re: Intro and question about B2 wheels
The exception is if it's a B2 Sport which came with the old 1/4" dogbone axles, and bushes, yuck.

Re: Penguin custom bodyshells on Ebay
Just need someone to reproduce entire cars in 1:11 scale now. Undertrays seem to be a problem with alot of repros. I had to make my own 870c undertray mould to avoid resizing my chassis.
One I really don't understand at all is reproducing Losi 22 bodies? Losi still sell them.

Re: 870c project
The rear suspension is really stiff, no.2 piston, blue springs and 40wt oil is wayy stiffer than I run on any other car. I would've tried the rear swaybar but I can't find the thing. Guess i'll have to make one. Yeah the top deck that goes through the other holes is a good solution, you used some br...

Re: 870c project
Yeah look at all the people standing around admiring it
Nah those were taken during the concourse.. Unfortunately the best looking car can't win if it doesn't have a fancy paint job
Hopefully will get around to making a 7075 billet front bulkhead soon.

Re: 870c project
Thought i'd finally update this thing. Found after the first run that the front bulkhead cap had cracked where the upper deck attaches, so I got another bulkhead cap, did 1 lap and it had broken in the same spot. So I machined one out of delrin. Ran it in the 2010 NSW state titles which were held at...

Re: who tried B4 wheels on B2?
B3 arms
B4 hub carriers with hinge pin hole drilled out to 1/8"
B4 CVD kit
B4 wheels
Comes out at the same width as a B3 with proline widebody wheels on it, and the eliminates the problem of dogbones popping out of the outdrives.

Re: Specktrum module package for older Futaba PCM radio
Yeah it works fine, was surprised to find that a 20 year old transmitter would take the same module as todays ones. Just have to switch the transmitter to PPM mode (But I think a Magnum AM is PPM only anyway?). Been using the Corona stuff in all my cars for over a year now and it has been good. The ...

Re: 870c project
Yeah threadlock would work alright on the magnesium ones, I would've thought plastic would be ok without it. The thread is stripped now anyway so I'll just go with the bigger thread and hopefully it ends up tight enough to not come out.

Re: 870c project
Had a test run today with the 5.5t, it was pretty insane, seems to get the power down way better than the B44, the acceleration out of corners was so good. Never heard the belt skip either. Only problem I occasionally did a wheel stand which ended up bending the wing up, and one of the lower front k...
