Re: RC10 wc oval racer
Need to hurry up on this thing, the race I'm building it for is in a couple weeks. First I made these ball stud lands for the front, vertical adjustment and 3 holes to adjust length and the blocks can turn around to use 2 holes in between. The middle hole is directly above the inner lower hinge pin....

Re: BBT Vindicator Sprinter Build
this is a cool project. I like the welds on the chassis
Is that the way the front end was setup originally - 10 degrees of castor?

Re: RC10 wc oval racer
I milled the chassis and nose plate today, I used this piece of aluminum tube to hold the chassis in the vice. http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx221/dhoff71/Mobile%20Uploads/20140614_142907.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx221/dhoff71/Mobile%20Uploads/20140614_182437.jpg side note: automo...

Re: Dirt Oval tub car
I like the way the rear of the chassis is cut. the new anno looks cool - pretty close to the green chassis on the real car.

Re: RC10 wc oval racer
thanks, your right about not tightening anything until all the parts are there. I just mocked it up for a pic and noticed how far off it was.

Re: RC10 wc oval racer
I've been getting parts together to get this car finished, the event I want to take it to is the 3rd weekend of July. I got a set of gold rere shocks because I like the color. I machined the top of the body smooth like I've seen a couple kinwald cars and made the shock collars and spring retainer fr...

Re: RC10 Team Car ready for refurb
What did you use to strip the anno? I've used oven cleaner but it seemed dangerously corrosive

Re: eBay rc10 build
Thanks for that pic, one row looks really clean. Two rows seems to limit electronic placement and I'd hate to wind up with something like these... http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2329

Re: eBay rc10 build
Ok thanks. I have no intentions of building a specific replica, I just want it too look like a team drivers car of that era.
I think that the holes look cool but their purpose(s) are cooling, weight, flex - or all of the above? haha

Re: eBay rc10 build
I've seen that pic in a couple threads. Is there a specific car that they're replicating? why have a template for holes that are somewhat random

Re: eBay rc10 build
Thanks!
Right, I found the pic going throught this thread http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=186&start=45
I'm guessing that the outboard row of holes are just drilling through the originals and the inboard row, closer to the battery, are just indexed off of the outer row.

Re: eBay rc10 build
I cleaned up all the parts and removed the flashing, I was thinking about soaking the white parts in peroxide but I think they look good now. http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx221/dhoff71/Mobile%20Uploads/20140525_173702.jpg I am really happy with how the chassis turned out, there are a couple of...

eBay rc10 build
I got this car off eBay last week. From what I can tell its an early Cadillac car. For now all I want to do is clean it up but I have plans to build an era correct racer. http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx221/dhoff71/Mobile%20Uploads/20140524_171942.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx221/dh...
