Re: Can Marwan Optima Mid body fit on TBG undertray ?
WOW! Looks like im def out voted on this,, but my opinion stays the same. I just dont see the logic in a half cover for the chassis. Every buggy I ever owned that included a chassis tray had a full tray. I agree, it should not be difficult at all to make a tray that is the same as the LWB design bu...

Re: Can Marwan Optima Mid body fit on TBG undertray ?
From what I understand the decal guy is part of the same group, when I talked to TBG last it was his machine 8) That's the thing, when I asked TBG about decals, he flat out told me "we don't make decals, only bodies", I had the impression that TBG also made the decals until I looked close...

Re: Can Marwan Optima Mid body fit on TBG undertray ?
after reading through these comments, I feel I should give TBG a try, after all I am quite disappointed with Marwans stickers which peel off rather easily. Besides I have just realized buying from Kamtec isn't cheap because of the currency used. I want to buy a SWB Mid body, undertray and wing from ...

Re: SWB Optima Mid Modern Racer
Updates ! After flipping the rear arms so that I can mount the shocks lazer style, I noticed that the rear CVD exit the diff swept forward. This could cause handling problems. If the arms are swept rearwards, the rear will lift on acceleration, if its swept forward, it will be pulled down, besides f...

Re: Can Marwan Optima Mid body fit on TBG undertray ?
I have never bought TBG, but this is my take on Marwan from the LWB mid I bought 3 years back. The undertray is short at the back, couldn't screw in the 2 holes into the suspension mount. Body holes also don't line up perfectly, gear cover is just a little tight but fits rather well, belt cover is b...

Re: SWB Optima Mid Modern Racer
My LWB Mid has the same setup as yours and I use the ZX link plate with no rubbing on the gearbox, I just had to file a notch in it which you appear to have done to yours too But anyway, I may have to reconfigure my LWB steering cranks because of the new white ball bearing hubs that should be ready...

Can Marwan Optima Mid body fit on TBG undertray ?
I am facing a dilemma at this time.I have SWB mid I am gonna build, and as I always wanted a Turbo Optima Mid SE back then, I want to buy the SE body. looking at prices, it seems TBG is cheaper than MARWAN but doesn't come with stickers. Marwan on the other hand comes with stickers but no undertray....

Re: SWB Optima Mid Modern Racer
Looking good, I noticed you have set the steering parts up differently to your LWB build, is that to do with the castor on the front hubs? Its not because of castor, but because the hubs are taller than stock LA27 hubs. Also I am using the ZX steering plate here, and if I used the same setting as m...

Need to buy new Yeah racing standard touring hexes cause I have 7mm offsets which are too wide now. Pic is shown with ZXR rims and tyres. http://i185.photobucket....

Re: SWB Optima Mid Modern Racer
HKS TRD, those towers are custom cut before the ZX-R was released. It was made for the ZX to be used with long shocks in the front, remember that trend in 1990 ? rccarsforall, these parts actually came from a working car that I dismantled to get my LWB running some time in the mid 90s. You know how ...

SWB Optima Mid Modern Racer
I got a lot of Optima Mid parts I have amassed since 1990 to 1992, which I still have until today. Seeing so many people building SWBs, I have gotten an itch too. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x87/alcyon2sp/20140329_135159_zps52fd6182.jpg This was a small sample of my parts bin, putting togethe...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Freshly Built

I am also planning to build a SWB Mid from all the extra parts I have, with an added bonus of being able to run a lipo saddle without changing the narrow chassis. I hope this works ! Whats up buddy!
