Re: First Time Painting Lexan
It's a Galaxy/Airbrush City GD102 dual action and the compressor is a Airbrush City #144AC. My sister was helping a friend setup a garage sale and it was their teenage Sons. I got it all for $40 (including 3 hoses & paints), so I couldn't pass on it. It all seems to be nice quality, the kid just...

Re: First Time Painting Lexan
I am going to try the brake fluid trick. I have some in the wife's car, so when she gets home, I will give it a go. It isn't as bad as I thought, so hopefully I will be able to clean it up. I know what I did wrong. I sprayed too close and too thick :( I was trying to get my airbrush working because ...

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
I scored a NIB 480T off the bay for $31
I have been looking to get one for some time, but the price just wasn't right.

I am stoked about this re-release. Has anyone heard an "Official" release date yet?

Re: First Time Painting Lexan
I am now wishing I would have used a paint pen. It is just 2 small areas that I painted, but the seeped paint is pretty bad
I hope I don't end up with a black Tomahawk now. Rubbing alcohol worked some, but it's on like bubble gum. ![Evil or Very Mad ](./images/smilies/icon_evil.gif)

Re: First Time Painting Lexan
I was thinking about that. I didn't want to use paint thinner or something and watch the body melt away!!!! ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Re: First Time Painting Lexan
Well, my first attempt at paint didn't go so good. I used blue 3M mask tape since my LHS was out of liquid mask. Even my best efforts at sealing the edges, some paint has seeped through. My question is: What can I use to remove the unwanted paint without damaging the lexan? ![Crying or Very sad ](./images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
I am (almost) done with the body. A lot more work goes into those than I had expected. Cutting it all out, drilling holes for accessories and all that has took some time. My biggest challenge was getting the Tamiya 9808269 body clip set modified to work on this Tomahawk. I wanted to drill the holes ...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
Thank you ScootMike for sending me a pair of 2.3mm screws for the uprights, VERY much appreciated :) I am so grateful for all the help I have been given here by all of you. I got a good idea for the mufflers. My wife smokes one of those electronic cigarettes and I was looking at the filters they use...

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
Thanks for the kind words you blokes. Unfortunately Fakiee, I don't have any of my old cars. No photos either. I own four buggies now, all bought in the last three years. I've attached another photo of my only other Le Mans motor. It's a 480T can, 480 Gold endbell (painted green) and a Parma 19x2 a...

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Interesting. I would love to have a re-release Scorpion. It would be nice to have much of the aluminum chassis and (as Coelacanth said) addressing the originals weaknesses, newly designed shocks an a modern electronics system..awesome!

Re: New Decals made by MCI-Racing Thanks to me
I ordered my Tomahawk decal sheet from MCI. I noticed in the listing it stated that the stickers have been fitted on the TBG body, so that makes sense. I noticed in the manual, the original driver doll has a small lip on the side for the motor wires, where as the one from TBG does not. They must not...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
I was told to mask the center of the wheel and then use krylon barbeque black semi-gloss paint for the center. I think I might have an easier idea but we'll see. My question to Pargu WTF are you in business if you never talk to your clients. RC I know it is extremely hard to get a reply from him. I...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
I'm tired of waiting, I will try and paint them myself. Yeah, they're nice, but not $40+ nice. I think he would move a lot more of his inventory if he lowered those prices a bit. I just like them for the simple fact that they clamp on instead of a set screw grinding into the finish and aluminum! I ...
