Re: RC car for my 6yr. old son.

traxxas makes some good bashers and the speed controls have a half power setting for novice drivers. I started my son out at 7 with a rtr Rustler vxl and it was perfect. Traxxas are super durable, parts are cheap and readily available, and cost is good. There is a huge amount aftermarket support for...

Re: nTC3 electric/brushless rally conversion

wow that looks awesome. Now ya need to take some glamour shots on a dirt road so it looks like its a full size car on a rally course. Love the aluminum laminated bumper, now you have the look of alloy yet still get the flexibility of plastic. Wondering if you used an adhesive to bond it in addition ...

Re: Maxxum steering rod

The original rod is unthreaded and just has z bends on each end to connect bell-crank to servo-saver, you can download the manual from the competitionx.com, here is the link. http://www.competitionx.com/rc-manuals/cars-and-trucks-f-m/kyosho-manuals/ Here is a link to an ebay seller who has the linka...

Re: Need a bit of ZX5 help. slipper and diff adjustment

Did a little more research and by looking at the spare parts section in the zx-5 manual it looks as if you have the wrong c-hubs. stock ones are a lot thinner and not as bulky. my aluminum ones are same way.

Re: Need a bit of ZX5 help. slipper and diff adjustment

Not quite sure but I think the c-hubs are backwards the right and left are reversed. My zx5 has aluminum upgrades so I can't compare directly

Re: nTC3 electric/brushless rally conversion

Wanted to chime in on one other thing, the motor mount looks good but you might want to consider using a nut on top of the mounting screws. I assume you used run of the mill hardware store angle which is very soft and due to torque might strip the screw threads. I have experienced this issue persona...

Re: nTC3 electric/brushless rally conversion

Looks great. I love seeing conversions like this as it is quite inspirational. to lengthen the shocks you could also just screw on longer tie rod ends, same travel but overall longer reach and no bottoming of the piston. I used axial tie rod ends to lengthen my front shocks on my lazer zx-5 in order...

Re: My ultima is feeling a bit blue...

One thing to note when using a solvent like acetone on the parts is that it most likely will reactivate the paint and the cleaning process will be very messy. I used acetone to clean a tf3 composite chassis that hade been painted and had to scrub it in an acetone bath after removing the heavy paint ...

I'm pretty sure the mms part is a side plate that goes opposite the motor mount plate.

Re: Are these hard to find?

Its hard to say. Not really supposed to discuss that topic on these forums. You know how the saying goes, they are worth what someone will pay or what you are willing to sell for. Supply and demand. You could look on ebay at similar items or even list them and hope for the best. If you have access t...

might try calibrating throttle or checking lipo cutoff as it sounds as if you might be in safe mode.

Re: Are these hard to find?

yup, they are not necessarily hard to find but are generally expensive, pargu makes repro lazer suspension holders and other parts. the tf parts are same but not as in demand. Like another has said they do come up on fleabay and if lucky you can score them at a good price. IMO the lazer c-hubs are t...
