Has anyone tried soaking a vintage Yokomo chassis in acetone to remove superglue?
My 870c chassis could do with a cleanup but I'm not sure if it would have any negative affect on the GRP material?
Wouldn't want it to delaminate or do anything silly!

Re: YZ 10 alloy wing mounts
The pictures here show the alloy wing mounts pretty clearly.

Let me know if you can help.
Thanks.

YZ 10 alloy wing mounts
I need some alloy wing mounts (the bit that bolts to the shock tower) for my YZ 10 project, and I'm starting to think they might be a bit rare! I may resort to making some reproductions, so need the dimensions. Would someone be kind enough to measure one up for me? Length and diameter would probably...

Yokomo 870c / RC10 shared parts?
I'm about to embark on a restoration of an 870c. I seem to remember from decades ago, that the 870c shared some parts with the gold tub RC10. Now that they've re-released the classic RC10, I was wondering if any of the new spare parts for the classic are right for my 870c? I was thinking some of the...

Re: My Vintage Schumacher Projects
So you're onto an xls build now Peakey!
You don't hang around do you?
Your rate of progress is putting me to shame!
Don't forget to show us pics of the xls as it comes together.

So, here is my Fibrelyte Short Wheelbase Chassis and top deck.
Starting to think about building a runner SWB CAT with a modern twist, kind of the evil twin to my mint standard SWB!

Re: Vintage Schumacher Race Pictures 1989-91
I've been looking for inspiration for old school paintjobs for my vintage Schumachers.
I'm not really keen on doing box art and I can't remember what I had on my CATs back in the day.
Anyone know of any galleries of old paintwork, such as more of Dallas' work?

Re: CAT gearbox side plates
Hi Dan, Thanks for the heads up. I've always liked composite materials more than Aluminium for chassis parts, shock towers etc for just this reason. I certainly wasn't going to seek out more aftermarket Aluminium bits but like you say probably ok to use the GPM side plates. I do remember bending the...

Re: Peakey's Procat project
Hi Peakey,
Other than the width being 5mm, is there anything else different to standard on the high torque rear belts?
Was going to the other day if you planned to run that gearbox!
Guess I've got my answer now!!

Re: CAT gearbox side plates
Can anyone tell me who made these aftermarket gearbox plates? GPM parts weren't all in gaudy colours. http://forum.racing-cars.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=5972&title=procat-nip-gpm-alloy They would officially be Procat parts as GPM made alloy hop up parts in the early 90s for just about every compe...
