Yeah the Assault chassis was a great buy what as it the gearbox also contains a silky diff not to mention pretty straight rails and the rear cross member.

Ingenious use of materials, wonderful engineering, great thread.

So a year long I'm looking at fitting more of the Assault parts to the Beetle. The Assault rollings chassis already donated it's bumper to the all original Scorpion (just order a body for that), its wheels to the Beetle and it's rear shocks too.
