Re: For Losi Lovers ONLY!
That's harsh! I'll continue to let my car's performance on the track do the talking.... my JRX2 won my local club's little three meeting series recently, beating my mate's B4 into 2nd spot  Correct me if i'm wrong, this is what you call 95% driver 5% vehicle. Anyways, winning agains...

Re: Prototype TRF 211X from a factory driver from PH
This is from a chap on Oople. Think he still owns all of them. Astute to dynastorm evolution 8) Car 2.JPG S7301289.JPG I have the same shell if anyone wants to have a stab at creating a mold - its very basic in design - like an early dynastorm prototype. Very nice and rare collection! :) Is the car...

Re: OH- the Losi XX. Forgotten, the original "modern car".
The first thing that I would recommend you do is to go to http://www.vintagelosi.com and read/ view the Owner's Manual for each version so that you become familiar with all the differences because some are more obvious than others. Here's the link: http://vintagelosi.com/Manuals.html You'll then ha...

Re: OH- the Losi XX. Forgotten, the original "modern car".
Hi guys. Just last week after nineteen years i'm back to rc's. The last car i raced was a losi XX. Its still with me and planning to rebuild/restore her. Its such a good car back in the day and i know i can still win a club race. What i want to know is the difference between stock xx, cr, and kinwal...

Seems this part is universal to all tamiya double decked rc's. I remember their porsche 956/toyota toms 1/12, they look the same. Well i'll go check it out this weekend. Thanks

Re: Prototype TRF 211X from a factory driver from PH
I've been thinking bout dying them but having second thoughts coz i dont trust tamiya plastics, wont they warp? I would think the same about Tamiya wheels, but it seems many people have been successful dyeing them. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62036 I think the trick is to ju...

Re: Prototype TRF 211X from a factory driver from PH
Great! this is valuable info. Do they have it in pink? Thats the one on the rc10. The originals come in that color. As for the tires, i'll have to settle for the square spike if available. Oh before i forget, is the aluminum post for the upper deck still used on some tamiya cars? I have two missing...

Re: Prototype TRF 211X from a factory driver from PH
Thanks for the info. The car is more than halfway restored, some small stuff like turnbuckles/tierod ends need completion. Next would be tires and wheels, have to look for the originals i know its lurking somewhere. As for the body i would go for the d storm which is the closest so far. Suggestions...

Re: Prototype TRF 211X from a factory driver from PH
welcome problem is the 211X is a mix of things that existed and didn't exist for public distribution. some parts came off the super astute, some parts were pre production dyanstorm, and some parts were one off molds. now if you can find a TR-15 tamiya gas truck it used dynastorm molds but they made...

Re: Prototype TRF from a factory driver from PH
Tires are off the shelf items (i think). Body seems similar to dyna storm as with the shock absorbers as well. Anything i missed just ask. So, to my question. Is the TRX211 the same as d. storm or super astute? Some might be wondering why i ask this question. Well, I retired from racing in 1994 so ...

Re: Prototype TRF from a factory driver from PH
there are conflicting reports, either the 211x was the prototype of the dynastorm or it was the prototype for another car that tamiya never built up. The TRF 211X was the name given to the buggies made for the team drivers around the world that were never for sale. The Dynastorm was the kit Tamiya ...
