Should I get an RC10T 4.2?

So I'm thinking about selling my rc10 a stamp and getting an rc10t4.2. My rc10 has a 6 gear transmission and from what ive read it will blow up if i put something like a 13.5t brushless motor in it and i kinda want to go faster. Ive put in a little bit of money on my rc10 and its pretty decent now o...

Re: RC10 A stamp, Out drives not centered over rear arm moun

thanks gomachv. Also, when i mount the shocks on the outer most hole on the rear arms, the tire touches the shock. the rear is set with some negative camber. would i just need to go more neutral to positive camber ideally or just not use the outer most mounting point. I could just leave it in the fa...

RC10 A stamp, Out drives not centered over rear arm mounts?

I busted one of my stub axles the other day presumably bc i have too much down travel in my shocks ( im gonna fit that soon) and my stub axles are old and warn... I ordered a cvd kit and some RPM arms for the rear. I noticed before but just wanted some feedback about a concern i ve had. http://i139....

the 87t spur fits by the way. very close but no evidence of rubbing the dust cover.

Re: Play when mounting axel drive gears to drive gear pivot?

yeah i was wondering why there were no bearings where the felt was, seemed like it would be better with a bearing for reasons you stated... money pit!!! ***Is there a part number for those bearings or just use any in that size ?** (thanks for the suggestion by the way!) are the newer rc10b5's good ?...

Re: Play when mounting axel drive gears to drive gear pivot?

when i put the case together the play seems to be less obvious... i think my outdrives might be slightly bent or something also or my dogbones might have issues. ive been considering some cv axles but the out drives are def worn. both the rear axles have chips and are worn... i think im better off j...

Play when mounting axel drive gears to drive gear pivot?

Another six gear transmission related question... Should there be play when i mount my axel drive gears to the drive gear pivot after i install the button head screws or do i need to shim them so they are tighter? (approx step 42 in the original manual) im currently replacing my idle gears due to a ...

Re: Rc10 6gear trans with Reedy Radon brushed 81t/17t gets h

thanks for the reply ca-rj. On your son's truck with the 87t spur, does the dust cover fit without problems? I think im gonna get an 87t so have a bit more flexibility with pinion option in the future as the 17t pinion with the 81t spur seems to reach close to the end limit of the motor slot (maybe ...

Rc10 6gear trans with Reedy Radon brushed 81t/17t gets hot!

My old rc10 (with 6gear tranny) got a Reedy Radon 17t brushed motor for christmas running with an inexpensive hobbyking 45a brushed esc that has lipo cut off. i started running it with a 4000mah 2s lipo yesterday but the motor and esc seems to get a bit hot. Currently using the 81t 48p spur w a 17t ...

Shortie Servo mounting.

i got a replacement servo which is a bit shorter than a standard sized servo, but the short servo mounting holes seem to be for a more narrow servo. Im going to drill a new hole for mounting (the rest of the tub is swiss cheesed up already via privious owner), but just curious if this is how everyon...

Re: New to the forums couple questions

You can also just buy some jconcepts hazard wheels (as suggested by popboy905) and tires made for the rc10 (no mods nec with original equip). Thats what i did. i dont drive it very much (finishing up some upgrades right now actually) but they seem to be ok for my purposes. I just installed the jconc...

Im wanting to improve my steering with a Jconcepts bell crank upgrade, im assuming the 4-40 ball studs will work, is that correct? do i need any special lengths for them or for the servo to bell crank ball studs?? what length turn buckle wil...

What's the advantage of 30degree caster frnt block carriers?

Ive got short arms on my old rc10. Is there any technical advantage of running the 'front block carrier 30 degree caster', part # 6210? they are black, leading me to believe maybe they are for the long arm setup on the more recent rc10 editions... but that is just my uneducated guess... would i gain...
