Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white
Yep I did. That one pic is after I boiled them. One thing I did notice is that the nylon seems to have shrunk slightly around the holes and the parts seemed to be softer and more flexible.marlo wrote:Make sure you wash the parts, then a good soak, the hydo, WILL damage your finish!!

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white
Welp, here's my attempt. NOTE: The ball cups are brand new RPMs. I did not soak the originals. And yes, I realized I was using the wrong side of the aluminum foil

Hello from Elyria OH
Hello everyone. I'm knew to this forum but not to the RC10. I've been referencing this forum for a while now and decided to join in the fun :) My car is an Edinger from the mid 80s. It was bought used by my dad in the early 90s along with an RC10L for $150. I've driven this car since I was very youn...

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white
I just finished soaking my parts. I did a 2-day soak, both on sunny 80º days, with a blacklight used overnight. I did not achieve paper white like others have on here. Maybe I could have soaked them longer but they currently match a NOS front arm thats been in the dark since I picked it up years ago...

Re: Modern RPM wide A-arms not fitting correctly.
As for the Traxxas motor, I had that in my sons car and it works fairly well. I had to cut part of the shaft off to make it fit under the gear cover though. But it wasn't fast enough compared to my brushless Castle 5700 so I swapped it out and now we are both way too fast  Yep, I had to cu...

Modern RPM wide A-arms not fitting correctly.
Hello everyone. This is my first post on this forum. I'm restoring my Edinger gold pan to run at the local track once a week. I bought a set of RPM front and rear arms. The rears fit fine, however, the front arms will not fit the shock ball mount. I've searched the forum but no one has said anything...
