Re: Optima is back!!
Get a re-re RC10 while you're at it too, if you haven't already. Got a gold pan when they first came out and two Worlds cars. All are in the box waiting for me to figure out a direction with them. I really want a 10T as that was my first new Associated offroad kit (had a 6gear gold pan I bought use...

Re: Optima is back!!
Just ordered one! Tower eCash came back so $255 shipped plus $30 in Tower Cash that I will use towards a Tomahawk. I have been a little late to the Kyosho Re-re show and need to catch up!

Re: Optima is back!!
I can only find them through Kyosho and shipping is $11 for 4 sets. Yikes. "Yikes"? You're complaining about $11 shipping? You probably can't even blow a fart across the border from US to CAN for $11. That's a great shipping price on 4 sets! I am old and that seems pricey for a package th...

Re: Optima is back!!
SCH006sc from Kyosho America. They also have them in white and black. I like the blingy satin chrome :) Thank you, those look very cool. I can only find them through Kyosho and shipping is $11 for 4 sets. Yikes. I still have to get one of these before I order them but now I know where to find them....

Re: SC10FT Diff Balls and Hex Conversion?
The front wheel bearings will work fine as long as there in good shape. The wheel nuts would be the same front to rear so if you have some spare rears you can just use those. Aluminum hexes are not absolutely necessary, but they are more secure. If you go with some aluminum clamping hexes you don't...

Re: SC10FT Diff Balls and Hex Conversion?
Not sure if they still do, but Proline used to make a complete kit for the front. I used it for mine and was around $30. I check my pit bag and found the part number was 6068-00. I can't find that kit in stock any more. I am guessing it was discontinued. I pieced the conversion from individual Asso...

SC10FT Diff Balls and Hex Conversion?
Looking to build my SC10FT kits and I want to convert to hexes right away, is there a kit that has everything I need or do I need to piece together from associated part numbers? Also do you guys have a recommendation for diff balls? Stock, kit ones or ceramic or what?
Thanks!

Re: SC10 To Dirt Oval Modified or Late Model
Yea, that's the right motor. Can't beat 'em for the price! I don't know of anywhere else that sells them. For gearing, 17.5's seem to like a really small spur with a big pinion. I haven't run one in my SC10B but run 81/30 in my gold pan and it could use more gear. I have three of the Savox 1251mg i...

Re: SC10 To Dirt Oval Modified or Late Model
Hobbywing Justock ESC for about $50 and a red can Turnigy Track Star 17.5 for about $35 and you should be good to go! 8) I'm a Savox fan for servos. The 2270kv one? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__21866__turnigy_trackstar_17_5t_sensored_brushless_motor_2270kv.html Out of stock right now ...

Re: SC10 To Dirt Oval Modified or Late Model
Bumping this old thread because I am about to start building these cars for the upcoming outdoor oval season. I have two SC10FT kits I will be building into dirt modifieds. I think I have found the body kits I want to go with. I still need to pick out an ESC/Motor combo for them. It is going to be a...
