Re: Traxxas - Tower Hobby Discount not allowed
Most all brick n mortar shops are struggling against the online places. And yes many folks lack a shop or one that has anything. We have two decent RC shops in Indianapolis. Yes they are Traxxas heavy, thanks to the Slash being the hot thing locally. But the also carry the other major brands in stoc...

Re: Associated TC car help needed
Thanks, looks like a pain in the tail to find parts for. From reading, the out drives were a weak link. Cant seem to find much out there part wise for them. Sounds like I will part out the chassis and she will be dead in the water till a tc3 or 4 shows up used for a keen price.

Associated TC car help needed
I was told this was a hopped up TC 3 but now that I need a new out drive on the rear diff, nothing matches. The diff ring and mating out drive have double flats. The stock parts have a single flat and the diameter is a bit smaller so the fit in the case bearing is loose. Any idea what I have? Here a...

Found my old chargers and a NOS nicad pack.
Found my old chargers and a NOS 1400mah Nicad that I never used. I run a modern Onyx smart charger that does every style of battery so the old ones are eye candy and look good on the shelf. The battery I ran thru a double charge cycle and it works. It didnt fall on its face when I nailed the gold pa...

Re: gold pan Autism Awareness build thread
Time for an update, finaly got the body back from the painter. Paint quality is top notch but they forgot to paint the wing for me, I hate clear wings, so I used the red wing off the other body I have, does not look to bad with it. Now I need some good vintage decals. Need a couple Team Novak decals...

Re: gold pan Autism Awareness build thread
Got a little money for my birthday, so the body is packed up to go off to fatty grafix for the special paint job. I also got front wheel bearings, so now its a rolling chassis. I am going to try and get the rest of the radio gear installed this week and see how the old motor runs. Life has been busy...

So we have been driving home to Erie, PA every chance we can. Along with a real slow down at my job making any extra spending...

Re: gold pan Autism Awareness build thread
So what is a good vintage ESC to handle this hot motor? Something from the old Novak line maybe? The Futaba I have is a MC 111B. This is also just a motor I happen to have on hand. I am open to changing it. But if I can use it to race, and its got some punch to it, then I will try to make it work. I...

Oh that speed control is history. No mechanical speed control in my cars. I will put a spare Futaba ESC in it tomorrow. Mike
