Re: All the Lazers
When I last drove it I noticed I was getting a bunch of slippage somewhere in the drivetrain of the Pakistan Lazer. I was afraid the diffs were loosening up again but it turned out to be the clutch. It appears the slipper pad isn't holding up. I took the clutch apart to try scuffing the slipper pad ...

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
Thanks for the feedback… from the pic I see A5056 showing xxx-SCT on the label so I assume the one I posted would work as they are also advertised as such. So the front shock on the Truck isn’t 1.2 like the rear? it’s different? Cause the shocks I have F/R are same length? I’d much rather have the ...

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
So I’m putting together a runner JRXT and the original shocks that came with it had the normal broken shock collars and one of the shock cartridges is leaking a bit…. Wanted to know if I could use these shock bodys with shock cartridge A5015 and move over the shock shafts and pistons from the OG sh...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A bunch of odds and ends for the Lazers and XXX, the most noteworthy being the Rere Kyosho Gold shocks that were back in stock (albeit with a 'B' suffix) for the Pakistan Lazer

Re: About OT-56 Aluminium Tapping Screw Set
It looks like Kyosho used to sell a pack of M2.6 x 8 thread forming screws, for reference. Kyosho Par Number 1-S02608TP, or KYO1-S02608TP for online resellers.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Oh nice! I have been working on a xx buggy chassis to shrink to 16th scale myself. I was thinking of redesigning those bellcranks a bit to eliminate the bearings and servo saver when I shrunk them I'm planning on changing the design a bit to try and emulate the worlds prototype's machined look. Sho...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Well looking for something else on Ebay I bumped into something very familiar looking RREGSHSDGSD.jpg What gets me is the inverted rear shocks, which has been something that people are currently doing. I was looking at that one, too. If I hadn't bought all the stuff to do a Retrofit trans for my LX...

Re: All the Lazers
The links should be mounted underneaththe centre link, not on top of it. That's where I had them when I initially refreshed all the hardware, but the bump steer was terrible. This is mostly experimental to figure out what it takes to minimize it, though with how much I've had to space it I'm not su...

Wish I knew you were in the market for one. I've got one that's been disassembled on my bench for a number of years because I decided to go brushless after I got it.

Re: All the Lazers
So, lately, I like to tinker with shimming the steering tie rods to try and get rid of the bump steer. Below is where I ended up with the Pakistan Lazer. It's a pretty extreme shim stack, but the wheel stays pretty straight through the stroke. I think some bump steer was introduced with the Optima R...

Perfect. Thanks!juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:57 pm Yes, Custom Works have the correct ball size. I believe that CRC is as well.
If you have some plastics that are stripped, Schumacher ball studs have the same ball size but with slightly larger M3 threads.

Substitutes for Vintage Losi Ball Studs?
Has anyone found a good substitute for vintage Losi 4-40 ball studs? I was wondering about Custom Works, since they're still producing in Imperial. I'm looking to freshen up my recent XXX with some parts I already have, rather than do what I did with my JRX Pro SE and convert them all to metric, tho...
