Re: The late Graphite Team Car

You have to wonder sometimes if theyve hitba plateau with the new models though. Updates/changes seem minimal between the new models now. Could be a while before something radical comes along. That's pretty typical across the board with all forms of racing, these days. With the accessibility of com...

Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE

I've made good progress in adapting steering components from a TLR 22 4.0 to my SE, which will let me run TLR 22 front wheels. I'll add pictures of that later, but in my searching I noticed that losi threaded shock bodies are fairly available and would love to put a set on. Does anyone know if the t...

Re: Team losi, but what?

I wonder if this is an early LXT kit, or a conversion from a Junior T or something. In the last image you can see two holes on either side of the chassis where the early Losi 5-ilnk posts would be. Neither my LXT (which was a JRX-T conversion kit) nor my JRX Pro SE have those features. In fact, now ...

And there you go! From TLR's facebook page.

Wonder what Yokomo's inspiration was.

Think it could be a Brian Kinwald tribute, with that body?

Ugh. And please excuse my spelling error in the thread title. Guess I got so excited I reverted to, I don't know, German pronunciations?

Not gonna lie: the matched cells made me immediately jump to Trinity's website. Heh!

Was wondering if it was an oddly stacked 6 cell pack at first.

Vintage Electronics in a Modern Kit: What's going on here?

Browsing TLR's website to get ideas, I happened across this image, and was wondering what was going on with the very vintage electrics. http://www.tlracing.com/ProdInfo/Files/TLR03022-chassis1.png This was on TLR's page for the 22 5.0 Elite DC kit, due in September. http://www.tlracing.com/Products/...

Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE

Since my other car projects are about 90% done, it makes sense that I forget about them and dive into another. Here's my JRX Pro-SE. My parents bought it for me very late in my RC car racing phase so I raced it very little and did very poorly coming off an LXT. I actually raced it more with foam tir...

Re: Turnigy Trackstar 80A Runaway

If I recall from the time I was referring to in my last post, the runaway seemed to be less than a second. I could catch it unless it happened without enough room, unlike with the Mk1 where it seemed to blast off for a full second or more. And, as the battery really dropped off and it didn't run off...

Re: Turnigy Trackstar 80A Runaway

Got the servo steering limit set on the transmitter, turned the punch down a couple of pegs, and reinstalled the glitch buster correctly. I had a lot of good, controllable, aggressive throttle run time and didn't have a runaway until the battery was noticeably slowing down. Even then I (usually) sti...

Re: Turnigy Trackstar 80A Runaway

What you probably need is lipo battery power to cure the brown out and turn the wick down on punch . Rats. I was hoping I could keep squeaking by with trickle charging on my old Pro-Tech 706. The glitch buster will help momentarily its not a cure but it will help bigtime...................... My vi...

Re: Turnigy Trackstar 80A Runaway

The "Glitch Buster" definitely did not work; ran away right on the first stab of the throttle! lOL! Either the cap needs to be way bigger, or I need another option. Don't have time to play around with the "Punch" setting right now. But I may fully charge the battery, again, so I ...

Re: Turnigy Trackstar 80A Runaway

Yeah, I ordered a *checks page* "Glitch buster". I'll try that before I make other changes, but saw someone else talking about turning down the "Punch". Is that worth keeping in my back pocket? This "Chew Toy" is turning into quite the development program. Started with ...
