Re: JRX Pro SE "we don't do shelfers here" build
While I was taking it apart I noticed something odd. LXT apparently changed the front shock tower design for the camber links at some point during the LXT/GTX/NXT production run. Same part number but different holes. https://i.postimg.cc/jWMQgYCK/IMG-20221105-145740670.jpg I wonder if it correspond...

Re: All the Lazers
Got the ZXS motor spacer today and now the Le Mans gold motor is in the Pakistan Lazer. One thing noticed is the range of pinion sizes is limited by the Mk2's larger stabilizer plate. Not sure that'll be a gearing issue since I had t go way up on the pinion for my Pro SE. I got some cells to build a...

Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE
I started messing around with trying to implement the 5-4 rear camber link setup. Mentioned before, the challenge is the #5 hole location in the bulkhead is normally occupied by a 4-40 screw that vertically ties the chassis to the bulkhead. I first went looking for a long enough 4.8mmxM3 ball stud t...

Re: All the Lazers
While I hold out hope of a modern slipper kit, I got in the surrogate parts I was looking at for the Pakistan Lazer. The bearing fit isn't perfect. It requires some shims in the bore to help it sit past the 4mm step in the slipper shaft so the thrust bearing seats against it and not the shaft. I use...

Re: All the Lazers
Ok, I'm officially looking for a layshaft to convert Lazer ZX/ZXr's to a modern slipper like mentioned here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=35530&hilit=lazer+clutch+update&start=15
Emailed fibre-lyte (Welshy?) to ask about them.

Re: All the Lazers
While wondering about if a new thrust bearing might not fit through the center bore of the spur gear on the Pakistan Lazer, I realized that it had come with a Lazer ZX spur, and that the clutch had probably been put together sans thrust bearing with one of the washers directly against the spur. Alre...

Re: All the Lazers
So, when I was prepping for burn, mentioned in my JRX Pro SE Rebuild thread, I tried to get one of the Lazers working so I could demo older belt drive cars to younger RC enthusiasts. But after two straight days of swapping parts and electronics I had to abandon that idea, finally defeated by expired...

Re: All the Lazers
So, I gather I'm working with the LAW-12 "Hyper Clutch", and the diagrams I see partially Here and fully Here suggest I need to go parts hunting. I need to get some measurements when I get home, but I'm hoping I can use this ball bearing and this thrust bearing as surrogates for the missin...

Re: All the Lazers
The clutch on the Pakistan ZXR went back together with a much shorter stack than when I took it apart. I'm sure this has absolutely nothing to do with my messy workspace containing multiple active projects. Anyway, Was trying to figure out what was different, but only have a diagram of a ZXS clutch ...

Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE
I think you should be fine with a swivel ball in the inner position. its mostly a position that rotates and doesnt move much fore and aft. Agreed. Yo can either get a LONG screw on the bulkhead side and add a pivot ball and a nut on the rear, or you find a ball stud with a long enough thraded shaft...

Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE
Just a quick update: I had set this project aside because I ran into an issue where I couldn't set my differential or slipper right. Seemed no matter what I did either one slipped excessively or it was locked up. I chalked it up to the losi 13.5 Brushless motor being too hot and me needing to figure...

The Brushless 240S looks pretty good in there. Just have to find a good way to route the ESC wires.

Good find! I kept trying to find a website for Orlandoo to get a better diagram, but wasn't having any luck.

Is anyone familiar with electronics for Micro type RC's that run small brushed motors like this? https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/LWwAAOSwuIFfm9XE/s-l1600.jpg I have a toy drift car (on-off power, on-off steering) a good friend got me years ago that I'm looking to make controllable with my Spektrum tr...
