Re: XXX-SCT uprights vs XXX

Never mind: the pins are all 1/8", vs the 3/32" on the buggy.

XXX-SCT uprights vs XXX

I found these aluminum uprights for a XXX_SCT and was wondering how their geometry compared to the XXX. AS in, if the caster and spacing were the same. Any ideas? I gather the SCT kingpin is longer? I just picked up a XXX BK1 for no good reason and need to replace an upright, so I thought I might ad...

Re: All the Lazers

I think I've got the differentials worked out. I put a little blue thread locker on the adjustment screw and set them, and they don't appear to come loose anymore. I also rearranged the spring and thrust bearing so that the bearing is right under the screw head; don't know if that was worth anything...

Re: All the Lazers

It's been a while! And I started another project so, of course, I got motivated to work on this project, again. I started working on it again after finding replacements for the 4mm JIS top plate screws while browsing the optima Rerelease exploded views. So I got things temporarily hooked up on the p...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

I'm S L O W L Y making progress towards my Mini XX Worlds Prototype based on CLM's Pro SE/LXT chassis work and Mini B Wheels.

Too much going on in my life to really focus on it, though.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

The JRXT continues to be a fun car to race in stock form and the class for it at RCM is pretty well packed, there is a lot of chaos in it though. and the front turnbuckles popping off is definitely a common issue among the field. In typical me fashion I TQ'd only to completely botch the Main again....

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Anyone tried Mini B Universals, yet? I gather they're too long, but wondering if a sleeve can be used to cut them down.

XX STL's *EDIT* Or Parts to Lend for Modeling?**

I'm looking for STL's of the front arms, uprights, knuckles, and steering bellcranks for the XX. Does anyone know of any?

I found a few for the front bulkhead.

*Edit*

Or would somebody have parts they could lend for modeling, before i go buy some?

Re: A lot of people weren't ready to go GNCC racing...

BTW, if any of you are interested in seeing this in person, here's the schedule: https://gnccracing.com/events It's a pretty great grass roots series that's relatively cheap to attend at $25-$35 a head, depending on the venue and when you're getting there, and MOST events have free primitive camping...

A lot of people weren't ready to go GNCC racing...

When they start a race at the Grand National Cross Country series, the announcer will yell out to the crowd "Are you ready to go GNCC racing!", followed by the ten second call for the front row. Well, this year I don't think a lot of the riders in the Sunday bike races were quite ready for...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Got mine over the weekend: #3402. Already dinged the motor plate. Lol! I guess the really low numbers went to distributors. I don't want to burn up the step pins. Are there any mini-T tire options that aren't pre-mounted? Didn't see any at A-main. The JRXT wheels and tires are much bigger than Mini...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

I was wondering if I could piece together a lookalike between JRX2 Mini and Mini-B parts, and 3d printed stuff. There's probably not enough high quality images of the prototypes to count pixels on. And, of course, I never finish my projects. Lol! Did find a couple of large enough prototype images o...
