Re: Kyosho Rocky

Have you tried loosening the 5 screws attached to rear gear case...sliding chasis forward to take slack out...retighten 5 screws I haven't really checked it out. The chain jumped off a few times yesterday while me and my son were playing. I'll check it out this evening.Just thought somebody might k...

Re: Tamiya Manta Ray & Mad Bull

those stock bones stink, they have plastic ends. IIRC they are 70mm, so most tamiya cvd's / uni's will work. gpm, yeah racing and 3racing all have cvd's that will work. df02's bones are the same size so if you search using the term df02 you may find more results. you may also want to upgrade the pr...

Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion

I still have a track at my house, and Vintage AE will be there from Canada in the next two weeks, and Lowry will be the following week. Plus I have an 8 year old and a 16 mo old daughter that enjoy meeting other kids- I saw that you had a track at your house...is that an open invite :?: I ha...

Anybody know right off hand about adjusting the chain tension? My chain is slack and jumps off pretty easily?

Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion

I'd love to race sometime too, but anything over 45 minutes away kind of counts me out. :( even if it were that close I don't think I can have a race day longer than 2-3hours. Wife gets antsy when she has all three kids to herself for too long  . I'm starting to think about trying to round up /...

Re: Tamiya Manta Ray & Mad Bull

so...

I have gone to a 16t pinion with the larger tires. The car runs good and cool, but now I have broken two dog bones? I have read these were kinda weak. Is this a large tire issue or a torque thing with the gearing or just need stronger bones?

Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion

Don't feel bad, Bluegroove was 1 1/2 hours away from me, and everything else is too (Pinehurst) The guy in Asheboro wanted $150 per month to rent and operate the track, but wanted all or most of his initial investment of pipe, clay and fencing back first. Too bad, its a nice track- "supposed&q...

Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion

Asheboro is closed for good (unless someone bought it). Bluegroove will not reopen in.my opinion sadly... There is a place in lillington as well, maybe a jaunt down 24/27 wouldn't be too bad   Lillington... I believe I,m an hour and a half for any track  maybe asheboro will reopen....

Re: Tamiya Manta Ray & Mad Bull

get some buggy tires/wheels back on that manta ray and you'll have a great runner, one of my favorite tamiya's. I started with stock buggy tires and it got stuck in short grass  and my son kept running over it with his madbull  I dropped the pinion gear to a 17tooth to account for the big...

Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion

Depending on how north west you are from me, there is an outdoor track in Siler City, King NC, and a few others east of you near Raleigh- The track in King is the nicest outdoor I have been to, but I've heard good things about the other on in Siler City- We live between biscoe and albemarle. We went...
