Re: Bolink Invader "off road" Dirt Tracker II chassis

Here's my late one with the dogbone (1993)

I need a new battery O-ring as one of them broke while in the box :(

Re: Associated black A stamp?

It isn't original to the truck. The original scratched chassis went on another truck of mine. I didn't know if the A stamp black was real or not but all signs point to it being legit.

Were there quite a few black A stamps or not many?

Re: Associated black A stamp?

Maybe this is one of them then? It was not factory drilled.

Associated black A stamp?

Did Associated ever offer an A stamp chassis in black? If so would it have been factory drilled for stealth or not?

Unfinished home made short course truck.

I started this project a while ago and spent a lot of time and a few coins on it, however, I lost interest just before completing it. All that is really left to do is make the chassis out of 4mm carbon and figure out a brace for the motor mount. I also started to make a drag reduction wing for the b...

Re: Marlo's Garage/Workshop Part 1

Do you take it out of the box from time to time to look at it?

I do think about building it also but after seeing some NIB trucks go on ebay for $500+ the bags of parts look more appealing  The rarity of an unbuilt kit also adds to the appeal.

Re: RC-10t sport

Hard to tell as I remember my first RC10 and it wasn't stark white either, sort of ivory-ish.

On the other hand look how white the graphite RC10 is on the box. I also have some NIP white parts and they are pretty white, whiter than I remember my RC10.

Re: road hard and put away wet

If the steel is heavily rusted soak it in oxalic acid till the rust is gone, then soak in mineral oil.

Luckily the diff rings and balls are probably the easiest parts to get.

Re: Hobby money

I used to dedicate a healthy chunk of my pay toward my RC addiction, but unfortunately my wife recently has made me stop for a little while to save money to finish off the real car. In the long run it's probably better but I'm not sure how I'll cope. About $1500 would get me on top of what I already...

Re: Marlo's Garage/Workshop Part 1

Is the NIB truck yours? It would be an awesome compliment to the built one.

There is a difference between "like new" and "new", you just can't beat new. Your truck definately being the latter of the two.

Thanks guys, it's sort of like a mini time capsule as it hasn't been touched in over 10 years.

Re: Romus22's box art RC10GT

Looks great!! I've been wanting a white GT for probably the last 10 years or so, and it's the only Associated offroad that I dont have in white/fiberglass.

Does anyone do the early narrow rear tower in graphite?

Re: Team Blue Groove

I've just received my first ever lot of TBG bodies and my first impressions are pretty good. They are all the same body and I don't have an original to compare to though so I'll reserve my final decision till then. I am still waiting on my second lot which I do have plenty of originals to compare, t...

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white

Oops, I forgot about this..... I checked under the front bulkheads of my gold RC10 and there are no noticable markings on the nose plate. The white parts were in a 3% solution for two days. The parts were then boiled for 10 mins and then dumped in fresh boiling water and let cool naturally. Once coo...
