NiCd chargers wont charge NiMh batteries properly so you will need a new charger too if you make the switch.

My 2 cents.

Tires in cool dry climates will last much longer than tires in hot climates. I would never store tires in the attic or hot upstairs cupboards.

It is also a good idea to condition them from time to time.

Nice pair you have there, one early and one late GT.

You can get inline axles for the B4 which change the overall aggresiveness of the buggy, I dont think they did trailing axles for any offroad car aside from the early RC10's.

Same principle as it changes the dynamics of the steering.

Personally I think the 8.5 is a great motor, awesome drivability. Put a bit of timing in it and it has to potential to be an animal and everything between. The 8.5 can take quite a bit and it's happy doing it.

Super smooth, long run times and the top speed of a 4.5 !!

Is the track big enough to run boost timing or do you guys run under a blinky rule?

Does your runner have inline or trailing axles?

Sucks big time when you need so much but your hobby money gets slashed. I'm hating life right now, guess I'll have to slowly work through them one by one.

Do you guys set aside a certain amount each paycheck or just buy whatever you need whenever?

I like it for no other reason than it looks kinda cool.

If your really rough I'd add rear arm mounts and front arms to the list.

Wonder if it would wind up and sling shot you down the straight, good marketing ploy untill you found out it probably didn't work.

Dunno how well these cars went, not very well I imagine as they were a swing axle design. Custom works cars of a similar vintage would eat them alive. They seemed to make them for a couple of years though.

I'm actually a bit baffled by the values of sold 10L's on ebay. They seem to be anywhere from $30 - $130 for what looks like the same car. I know 10L's aren't exactly rare or high in value, but for a new original one to fall in your lap is. Not having to pay postage is a bonus.
