Re: fireguy's Super Blackfoot
Here it is painted: http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb298/fireguy14/R-C/Super%20Blackfoot/null_zps9650774a.jpg Still want to mask and paint the bed cover semi-gloss black. But I really like the way it turned out. And am planning on painting the wheels, either aluminum or white. Have another chass...

Re: fireguy's Super Blackfoot
I am not totally sure how far to go with it. Mainly as I am still learning about these. I can tell ya that it will get run. Far too gone to be a shelf queen, and I bought it to play with it. Did get it running, not too bad. Have taken it apart, does not appear to have been run very hard at all. Diff...

Re: Help with Old Silver Can Motors
Thumb, that is funny stuff! Here is something I have done with my motors. I connect them to a power soure, either straight to the battery or the speed control if I have the room. Then drop the entire motor into a can of jewelry cleaner. Let it sit, run it in both directions, let sit some more, run i...

Re: My Blackfoot
Man this thing is fun!! When I first got it back together it would not hardly run in the grass. Now, it just goes and goes! Not sure if these will pull the fronts off the ground, but this one will come close as it sits now. Also found 2 and 2/3 rd's complete light sets in the parts I just got in, so...

Re: fireguy's Super Blackfoot
And the chassis. Not sure what exactly was going on here, but was kind of a mess. 3 of the shocks are replacements, and one of them is shorter than the others. Caused the rear end to sit very askew. I have taken the speed control and receiver off, put one of the original friction shocks on the left ...

Re: fireguy's Super Blackfoot
Here is the Super 'foot body. Could not tell from auction pictures, but the lower part of the left front fender is broken. Did not run across the piece in the shipping box anywhere, and it does appear to be an older break. Top is cracked a bit around the sunroof. Those may have occured during shippi...

fireguy's Super Blackfoot
Well, it arrived Thursday. Poor shipping to say the least. I was at work, but when the kids called to say good night my wife told me it was on the porch when they got home. She didn't know what was in it, but something had poked thru the box. I got home yesterday and realized that the rear body post...

Re: My Blackfoot
Well, I have now installed a Duratrax Intellispeed reversible ESC and rebuilt the transmission again. Went ahead and replaced all the bearings and changed the motor. Not sure on the previous motor, but looks like the lable had Trinity LeMans on it. Got a Tamiya RS-540SD running, so put that one in i...
