Re: Yokomo YZ-10 World Champion Special 'Pavidis Edition"
Great work Vin & cheers for the photos, very useful. Interested to see it came with a black wing and not the pink wing of the standard YZ-10. Do you think that was done deliberately by Yokomo to distinguish the WCS edition, or did YZ-10's come with a variety of wing colours? I've got pink, blac...

Re: Yokomo YZ-10 World Champion Special 'Pavidis Edition"
Thanks guys. Yeah, I built this from original kit form. I can see where you are coming from in calling me a "brave man" as it is a rare kit. In my defence, I have others that are rarer that I am not sure if I will build but I will try to build most of my kits :) I tend to leave the shells ...

Yokomo YZ-10 World Champion Special 'Pavidis Edition"
Hi everyone, I have just completed assembly of my Yokomo Pavidis Edition and thought I would share the finished product with you guys. As some of you know, this was the last YZ10 kit that Yokomo built and was quite special for this reason and also because it was a replica of the same car Mark Pavidi...

Re: What RC10 shell is this?
i want to say that it looks like my mirage ss body, but it's too narrow. the turbo mirage and mirage ss were a bit wide. but the way the rear piece is kicked up lets me to believe it's something else than rcps. hot bodies, twister, protoform, others?? Strange that this is still being debated. 100% ...

Re: What RC10 shell is this?
I may be wrong Dual, but according to me the Turbo Mirage had a scoop while the Mirage hasn't, 2 bodies, 2 names... You are wrong on this one. The original Turbo Mirage (not Mirage) bodies did not come with scoop. They were introduced on th bodies later on ala Worlds Car. The Mirage was a different...

Re: What RC10 shell is this?
Cats,
That is a RCPS Turbo Mirage Body. Part # C120.
The original versions of this shell did not come with and ESC scoop on the left hand side. They were introduced on latter versions. I have one unpainted if you need photos.

Re: My vintage Esc (1st August,2008 updated)
A couple more vintage ESC's. The Tekin U10 was basically a G-9 (still a great ESC for Stock Class Racing) in a pre-production case. The Red Tekin MStar came out after Masami's win in the 1/12 scale class at the 1996 IFMAR World Championships in California. It came in a special case with an extra lon...

Re: End Of The Line YZ10
I never understood how this top deck with the spring could work with a belt drive. Doesn't the belt skip on the pulleys when the spring gets compressed? The spring itself is very stiff and the the assembled set-up is quite rigid. There is very little movement. Before this option became available, s...

Re: End Of The Line YZ10
Did the Yokomo version have built in tensionsers for the belt aswell? They are not built in but a separate part attached to the motor mount (basically a screw, washer and 2 small ball bearings). There is one tensioner for the front belt whilst the rear belt has 2 tensioners. If you run the T.C.S. (...

Re: End Of The Line YZ10
Awesome car! Dare I say that I liked this version even more than the MX-4 .It was like having the durability of the YZ-10 with the flexible spring loaded upper deck option .Did anyone really benefit from the spring loaded top deck in off road use?If yes in which way?I remember people changing it st...

Re: YZ10 Parts Listing
ZC-720S was originally the rear shock tower for the Yokomo Works '91 and then became the rear shock tower for the Works '92 and had in brackets on the card header "Custom Rear Shock Tower Black F.R.P." They both shared the same part number. BTW fakiee, the shock tower you have shown in the...

Re: gauging interest in new delrin parts.
I know Chad well, make sure you specify delrin, not laser cut 6/6 Lucite, just my opinion-- Not meaning to hijack the thread, but why delrin for the arm mounts instead of 6/6 Lucite? Is this a more suitable material for this particular application? What would be the better choice material to make A...
