Kyosho Triumph Ball Diff

Looking for details and options for the Triumph ball diff rebuild. The Acer ceramic balls look like a cheap and better alternative to the Kyosho LA-4 and WBD-6 balls. I believe the diff balls are 3/32, correct? Does anyone have the size for the thrust balls? Also, are there any alternatives to the W...

Re: Shook off some ring rust & painted

Great looking paint. The lines fit the overall shape of the body very well and I love the asymmetrical idea!

RC10 Team Car ready for refurb

Team Car arrived today!!! :P Ripped open the box like a kid on Christmas morning while my wife gave me that look that said a million words. But she's a good sport and knows I'm a kid at heart. The car appears to have only been run a handful of times. Two of the shocks feel dry, but it's in pretty go...

Re: RPM Worlds Front End

So, to bring this all together for quick reference in the future... General Options: - Full RPM original conversion with arms, bulkhead, and tower. or - Piece together 'long' front end. Parts options for piecing together long front end: - 10T nose plate - 10T bulkhead - Arms: various options availab...

Re: RPM Worlds Front End

Great feedback guys! Now I need to decide what direction to go...

Trying to decide if I should keep the Team Car stock and 'period correct' for the '92 collection, or if I should go after the long front end I've always loved.

It's OK if you all respond with "DO BOTH".

Re: RPM Worlds Front End

Is the RPM bulkhead the only option if piecing together a home-build 'long' suspension front end?

Can a 10T bulkhead & nose piece be used with RPM arms? (or other arm options?)

RPM Worlds Front End

Did the RPM Worlds Front End come in different variations? I always thought they all had tall front towers to be used with mid/long front shocks. But, I've seen several pictures posted with Worlds front ends, but with what appear to be stock (short) front towers and shocks.

Re: Peroxide Question

Does the process require UV light, or can you get similar results just soaking indoors?

Not much UV to be found in Portland in February! 8)

Re: Starting new circa '92 2wd buggy collection

RC10 Team Car is coming!!! :) Hopefully it'll be here by the end of the week. Looks like was only run a few times and has the box, manual, tools, springs, etc. Body is also unpainted. It'll probably stay boxed up until the Triumph is done. I'll start a new thread for it at some point... It's Christm...

Re: Kyosho Triumph ready for resto

Update... I began initial dissassembly of the Triumph today while the kiddo was taking his afternoon nap (removed electronics, front end, and upper chassis plate). Looks like I'll have to replace most of the screws, along with the aluminum chassis and steering posts. Some of the screws had nearly si...

Re: Kinwald vs Masami 1995

Looks like Masami was running the standard tub Worlds Car. Did he only run the 'stealth' variants in the '89 and '91 Worlds events?

Although, I suppose in '95 he was running a B2...

Re: Mini Cooper

Yes, you're right. Clubmans had the square nose, introduced in the 70's. I missed the minor detail in my excited haste to respond to this awesome thread! :) I had a great time driving my sedan. It was like driving a go-cart on city streets!!! I had it imported to the US from Christchurch, NZ. The gu...

Re: Mini Cooper

MkI Clubman Estate body... I love it!!! Where did you find that, and what is the scale? I'd be willing to pick up a new model just to have something to mount that body on! :) I recently sold my 1:1 mini sedan. It was a 1980 imported from New Zealand. I completely rebuilt the car, drove it as my dail...
