Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D

I love this thread!!! Santa, here's my wish list:

#1 Tamiya Avante
#2 Turbo Optima Mid SE
#3 Tamiya Top Force
#4 RC10 Team Car

Haven't got after the 4wd cars because they're so darn expensive!!! Some day... maybe.

Re: $200 later

Today I received a Kyosho Triumph 'parts bag #6' that I purchased a couple weeks ago. The seller listed the item as "new and unopened". The parts bag should have contained the bumper, battery box and straps, and tranny under cover that I need to complete my Triumph resto. Well... it arrive...

Re: New to me TRX-1

Great find! I could be wrong, but I thought all of the old 'bottom load' traxxas shocks used the same seals. Take a look at tower part LXJJ17 and see if it'll work for you. Horizon has it listed as TRA2362. You could also measure the inner and outer diameters to see if they are the same size as thos...

Re: Kyosho Triumph Ball Diff

Does Kyosho part WBD-5 (ball diff shaft set) contain the needed parts to rebuild the diff? I haven't been able to find a good description of the parts bag and can't find a picture that clearly shows the contents. I'm curious if it contains the diff plates along with the diff and thrust balls.

Re: Aluminum is back

I'll give them two years. I'm guessing they'll wait to see if the mid-motor option becomes popular. If it does, then I bet they'll jump on board.

But, it's nice to see manufacturers making the return to aluminum.

Aluminum is back

Losi and Kyosho have both returned to aluminum as the material of choice for their latest buggies' chassis. Any guesses on how long it takes for Associated to follow suit?

Re: Where to best search for ZX-R parts (New dutch member)

The ZXR was a great buggy. Too bad Kyosho was having some serious US distribution problems by the time the ZXR and Triumph became available.

You might have luck finding some stuff at the Vintage-Kyosho ebay store. Fireboy125 is another ebay seller that may have some ZXR parts.

Re: bringing a shine back to graphite, and fiber glass

I gave this a shot with an old fiber chassis plate and it worked fairly well. Headlight restore polish also works. I did one half of the chassis plate with Mothers and other half with headlight restore. Both worked equally well. I assume any light liquid abrassive would produce similar results on ca...
