Re: Interest in a Ten4 T parts set?
I was thinking it would be pretty cool to figure out how to build one. Specific parts would make it easier.

Re: rc10ds on carpet
Sorry, I only ran it a couple of times and didn't get into changing the battery around. When I was building it I though they would let me run it in our VTA class and thus set it up to handle a 1s lipo. They weren't very keen on a 2wd running with the 4wd VTA class, so I didn't pursue the battery pos...

Re: rc10ds on carpet
Yes I have done it. It really likes getting the tires "warmed up". It starts gripping better after a few laps. I've taken it out a couple of time about a year ago. Didn't get into really trying to dial it in. Here is a link to my build http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=36935

Re: gold pan Autism Awareness build thread
Just a heads up, I'm not sure if you will run into the same thing, but when I got back into running my RC10 a few years ago, I got out my trusty old XL2P as well as was doing something similar to you. I found the XL2P to be glitchy now. I even snagged a couple of more to try to make things work. I w...

Re: Been thinking about this for a bit....Nitro 12L3
I think I would try to leave the steering servo and try to stack the throttle servo on top of the steering servo. Might need some new custom servo mounts for the throttle servo. That's the config that popped into my head when I looked at the car.

Re: Replacement tires / tires&wheels for RC10DS
So I can only comment on what I think I know. The original front setup has bearings in the wheels. It seems that all of the new wheels are "hex" wheels. This means the bearings need to move from the wheels to the car. That is what the new parts are doing, by using modern parts for the cast...

Re: Replacement tires / tires&wheels for RC10DS
I had used 26mm on the front and 31mm on the rear. I think I have read some have done 31mm front and back.

Re: Replacement tires / tires&wheels for RC10DS
I just got done building up a DS and I tried to show in pictures how everything went together. I also posted a listing of the parts used.

I ended up using the vintage series of wheels and tires from HPI.

Re: My RC10DS Build From Parts
Haven't had a chance to run it other than on my hardwood floors. I am hoping to hit the local indoor track in the next couple of weeks. I don't know if they will let me race it as they are all 4wd, but I should be able to run it during practice. This is my first on-road car so I have no idea what is...

Some close ups of the front after getting the proper caster block in and flipping the steering blocks upside down.
There are also pictures of the custom made sway bars and mounts.

Some more pics - Temporary Electronics installed
Black rear arm blocks were 0 deg and the white blocks are 1.5 deg. I will be dying the white black sometime.
