Re: Goldpan motor suggestions
I'm using a Novak Rooster esc, 2S lipo or 6 or 7 cell nimh. I'm using 2.2 rims front & back in the snow shots. I'm going back to 1.5 - 1.6rims front & back with approximately 2.875 dia. front tires and 3.325 diameter rear tires. The tires won't be here for a few days. I'll post a few shots t...

My original motor gave up, circa '84. Looking for recommendations for a new motor, just for bashing around.

Re: tamiya M chassis question
J-sou I'd appreciate it. I realize the M chassis & hpi chassis's are going to be too wide. The bus inside width is 6". I picked up some 1.6 wide slicks which I'll mount on widened hpi fuchs wheels. So the hub to hub width needs to be about 4.5" . If I can't find something I'll make a s...

Re: M-05 based MiniClod
I recently picked up these spiked tires for 1.5" rims. The tires are new, but no markings on the tire and no packaging.

Re: tamiya M chassis question
Unfortunately the -06 chassis won't work due to the motor hanging off the back. The chassis is for an existing Team Bluegroove VW bus body. The -05 chassis came with the 3 option wheel base layout. I built mine to the 210mm wheel base. Other than the M series chassis and the HPI cup racer chassis I ...

tamiya M chassis question
I'm looking for either a M-02 or M-04 (both rear wheel drive) 210mm wheel base chassis. The M-05 chassis had the option of S, M, L wheelbase, does the M-02 & M-04 have the same options, or is there a different part number for the different chassis lengths.
thanks.
thanks.

Re: Unimog car hauler
Yes, I run the chassis with and without tracks. A link to the tracked version http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=32298&start=15

Re: Unimog car hauler
I bought the worm drive & gear drive motor on ebay. The cross shaft is 6mm and rides on 4 - 6mm bearings in bearing mounts on the bottom of the ramps. 4 - 4mm bearings support the wheel mounts.

Unimog car hauler
hauler bus side.jpg This is another M-05 based project I finished. The M-05 front section is a great platform for custom projects. I sectioned a Tamiya Unimog body, cut on a band saw, and made the rear aluminum plate. The bed tilts though a worm drive system. Some details: M-05 front section, 3Raci...

Re: M-05 based MiniClod
This is the first time I've tried something like this, so there are no ignorant questions. Steers like a blizzard/tank. I use a Futaba 4yf set to mixer mode for the steering. Turning is by the motors running at different speeds. I made the wheels, they're slotted for the stock Tamiya pin drive. With...

Re: M-05 based MiniClod
A video is coming. Here's an up date. I started this project intending to use the left over rear suspension parts from the other project. I ended up replacing the stock parts with 3Racing parts. The only Tamiya parts are the 2 drive belts. I made the aluminum wheels to replace the rubber ones. Too m...

Re: M-05 based MiniClod
6.5mm or .250" thick. 210mm wheel base, has about .250" wheel base adjustment. Uses the stock mini body, HPI Porsche RSR body, Team BlueGroove bus body. I use the bus body when using the tracks.
