Re: having troulbe on the straight

Having a body on the car or not having a body on the car is not going to make much difference when accelerating. The downforce provided by a body is only generated when the car is traveling at speed. I hope this helps some, but keep in mind that it's only my $.02 based on years of oval racing at a ...

What sort of surface are you trying to run the car on? If it is unprepared asphalt your problem is s...

I was thinking the same thing. I only use stealth diff lube in stealth transmissions.

Re: Leaking Shock Cap - Suggestions Needed

I thought I would update this thread. First of all, I appreciate the additional comments that were made about how to properly build shocks. I can assure all of you that I'm very confident in my OCD shock building techniques after so many years of competitive racing. At this time neither rear shock i...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

I believe there were 'slight differences' between old and new...don't remember them stating they'd be marked but I really haven't been following it all that close. So all the flippers that don't know this stuff will be trying to pass the new stuff off as originals in 6 months making it really hard ...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

Maybe I'm not fully understanding something here, but I thought the new parts were going to be marked somehow so that they couldn't be confused with vintage parts. Take the pictures of the new rear arms as an example. I'm not seeing any difference between them and the "super rare" white Wo...

Re: Leaking Shock Cap - Suggestions Needed

If your fluid is leaking out of the shock while it's wheels down, then you have positive pressure inside the shock, which is increased as the shock is compressed under vehicle weight. ie- way too much shock oil, and since pressures are always trying to equalize, yours are succeeding at that process...

Re: Leaking Shock Cap - Suggestions Needed

I personally would swap caps with another known good shock, that will tell you if it is the cap or the body that is at fault. Just my $.02 Curiosity got the better of me. I'm in the process of swapping caps on the rear shocks now. I'll also replace the O-rings (again!) just to error on the safe sid...
