Thanks gomachv! I'll have a look at those.

Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Your work is fantastic, but you got to get rid of those modern servos. Unless it's going to be a runner? they do look out of place especially with the quality of your restore. everything else looks "period" for the time it was made, so they do stand out. but I gotta say what an awesome re...

Your work is fantastic, but you got to get rid of those modern servos. Unless it's going to be a runner? I knew I was going to catch heat for those servos. I do intend for the car to have limited running and wanted a good set of servos. Limited running means a trip around the living room ever...

Re: Do you thin Parma FasKolor?

You are most welcome Showcase. I think Futue or Pledge goes by the name 'Klear' or 'Krystal Klear' in the UK.

Here is a guide to using it.

Any chance we can see more pictures of the car? It looks fantastic from what little I can see. I really love these little RC12's. Nice wheels too!

Cheers.

Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Time for an update! The car is now closer than ever to being functional again. I've got the radio tray about wrapped up and now it's a matter of final details to the chassis and a little soldering. I should mention that I'm counting on the old receiver to work! I haven't tested that little detail ou...

Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Running way behind again! I'm working on several things at the same time to try and speed things up a bit though. I got my servos in and fitted them to the radio tray and also started working on the receiver. I tested the old Futaba gold radio and found that it works but haven't tested out the recei...

Thanks bearrocco! I had to watch e-Bay for several months to get the rims and tires. Finding the tires was the hardest part.

Re: Do you thin Parma FasKolor?

Plastizap, Great info and thanx! I like the idea of using rubbing alcohol to thin. Your pressure seems much lower than everyone else who is shooting FasKolor. Perhaps that's because your thinning. Very detailed info and pics. Thanx! Your welcome Showcase. You cant go wrong with rubbing alcohol with...

Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Such a nice resto! So far, a job very well done for a "so called" RC resto rookie! Thanks! I wouldn't have made it to this point without all the great info on this forum. The tips for whitening parts with peroxide were invaluable. I even got a history lesson on these cars. Many me...
