Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm still working on the wing. It's hard to get good coverage with Fasorange over a primered surface so I'm slowly adding coats to it. Once I've got good coverage I'll wet sand it carefully and then seal it in several more coats of gloss. Probably start on the final mec...

Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Here is where I'm at so far. These are really crappy photos but I've still got a long ways to go anyway. Better photos will come later. Comments and critique welcome. Still have more stickers and details to add. The wing will be stripped and repainted tomorrow. Photos came out poor like my others so...

Thanks guys! It's been hard work but really fun at the same time. Hopefully I can get my other 12's finished up too. I'm ready to move on to the buggies!

Re: Rusty RC12E Resto

Think I've fooled around with this project long enough so I've got off my arse and I'm going to finish it up. I now have period correct servos and motor for this car just need to install them. I'm hoping I can have it done by the weekend. One of these days I'll find a vintage battery and cover to to...

Re: "Old Faithful" - RC10LSO graphite

Both of those cars are nice! 8) I was going to get rid of my 10 but after seeing these I think I've changed my mind. I had a 68 Chevy Nova when I was a teenager. It was blue with a 327 and Powerglide automatic. Wish I still had her.

Re: 'Doctor Death' RC10T

Nice score on the truck. I watched that auction but did not bid. Man, you got a truckload of extras! Glad to see someone on the board got it. I kept wondering if I was bidding against another member from here. I was really surprised that I ended up winning. I've decided to start on this truck despi...

Re: 'Doctor Death' RC10T

Be sure to not use those rare front tires, especially those big knob fronts. Only seen those from the original ad back in the day. Nice find, keep'er original :) Those are Pro45's by Proline, they were shown in the 7001 manual and box but never verified as kit parts This truck is a 7001, but the se...
