Re: RC 10 DS "GT"

I doesn't find 14mm wheel hex fitting US sized axles, so I modified metrics ones : I fulfilled the hole with solder https://s19.postimg.cc/58yz3np67/20171123_153909.jpg then I drill it https://s19.postimg.cc/hc4aqp57z/20180115_183743.jpg F1 rear wheels got to much offset , I machined them: https://s...

Re: RC 10 DS "GT"

Actual F1 wheels like fit RC10F6
It probably be easier making the mod to fit tc wheels (like CRC slicks)
But I want to make the less possible changes

So I adapted 14mm hex to imperial rear axles
And I'm gonna order front F6 axles

Re: RC 10 DS "GT"

After a good cleaning/polishing session the chassis looks a bit shiny (and younger) 8) https://s19.postimg.cc/k3oy3ssy7/20180401_010926.jpg (click to enlarge) Time to refit front and rear ends https://s19.postimg.cc/6a0levieb/20180401_014236.jpg Really surprised with the rear shocks angle, I suppose...

Re: RC 10 DS "GT"

Given that this build wasn't expected, it will be a budget one. So the body will be a modern Protoform RT-C https://s19.postimg.cc/efcmp6fj3/20180330_121130.jpg For the slick tires I'm gonna use F1 wheels First, the cleaning/rebuilding stage https://s19.postimg.cc/xx7a57chr/20180331_003705.jpg https...

Re: RC 10 DS "GT"

The seller doesn't tell me more about the car, so I can't say where the chassis come from my first guess is Fiberlyte too, 'cause the car came from Netherlands ... plus I don't know other brands which made carbon chassis tub (as far as I know ComCom and Hansell composites are Fiberlyte products) I d...

RC 10 DS "Graphit Tub"

A few month ago I've had the chance to be the only bidder on this: https://s19.postimg.cc/jt1rm070z/20171009_093639.jpg i always really appreciate and been inspired by DS builds on this forum since now I only have interest for pan-cars; but I decided to give this sublime car a second life but in wic...

Re: Worlds Car resurrected :)

Yes, it's a sweet one! Don't get fooled by the body on the other thread though, that paint job can be deceiving as the car (and the cut at the back!) came from someone else, whom I think of as a much more talented engineer, although much less famous... Both of them still national winners, though! :...
