Interesting concept. For my one, I had some nicad soldered up in parallel (stick of 3 for each side). I guess if you are running competitively this would be a good plan. I'd like to see this borne out.

Looks like a promising build....parts for this off-roader are becoming harder to source.
Would it be possible to put some pics of the assembly of the Delta slipper unit? I find the paper instructions a little hard to follow.

Awesome...I wish I could make parts like those. I think front twin shocks are a must. Would the rear roll bar help too?
