Re: Raider rebuild
Well she's finished but not running right, I can only get it to run in reverse! I think the esc is a forward only one which I have no problem with but I need to sort it out so I'm not having to switch the motor connections round and use the remote in reverse rather than forward. Any suggestions?? An...

Re: Raider rebuild
It's been a while so I thought I'd best make an update post. I bought the Traxxas off my mate then sold it to Jay Dub but not before removing the electrics so I have my ESC for the Raider sorted. I also bought from the same man a new chassis and some lovely NIP Raider Pro wheels is yellow to go on s...

Soldering capacitor help!
I'm gonna fit a Le Man 240ST to my Raider with a M.Troniks ST350PB ESC and could do with some advice regarding soldering the caps on the motor. The instructions advise 3 x 100nF 50v caps be added to the motor though I don't know what to ground them to, the old motor had a screw either side of the en...

Re: Kyosho Raider Pro ARR
Sorry to bump an old topic like this but do you have a copy of the manual?
Been after a pro manual for ages now and have completely scoured the internet but can't find scans of one anywhere!

Re: New project, think it's a TRX3???
Yep, made a list last night of a few new screws I need to replace missing or wrong ones first. Then I'll have to get saving up for some new fibrelyte bits to match the chassis plate, gear cover and check the motor still works. One thing thats confusing me is the front arms don't look to be the origi...

Re: New project, think it's a TRX3???
Probably, not really into racing as I have other hobbies which already take up all my spare time. Only really bought this as it was a cheap deal and it'll give me something to do at work!

New project, think it's a TRX3???
Just picked up another project off a mate tonight for the sum of £10 which I personally thought was a bargain for a basher. Not 100% sure what model it is but I think a TRX-3 from the mid-late 90's, hopefully someone can help me out with that one! She's a bit ragged at the moment but I'm sure I can ...

Re: Raider rebuild
Well I've just paid for my new motor, sticking with the vintage Kyosho and putting in a Le Man 240ST. It's not gonna set any records but it'll be more than suitable for what I'll be needing. Just awaiting a reply for the raider pro wheels so I can get them paid for and need to order an esc but that'...

Generally if you don't want to hurt anodizing then stay away from stuff that contains caustic soda like oven cleaners

Re: Possibly a silly question about esc's and lipo
Do you think this would be ok for a cheap basher build?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VSC-240A-Brushed-Speed-Controller-ESC-5V-1A-1-10-RC-Car-Truck-Rock-Crawler-/250888779092?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3a6a22f554

Nice one, thanks for the replies!
As expected I can see my cheap fix up job costing me more than I planned!
