Re: The Tale of Two Trucks (Painted!) pg3

Cant wait to see the "parts version"! Great job. Could almost get me to pull mine off the track for display... almost! There was bit of mitosis that happened to the parts car, half went this way, http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=27849 but..... the other went this way, sneak...

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I want to flatterize the fudge out of that bug. Very nice indeed!

Re: RC10ST ?

I think u mean 7035 was the sport truck model. Ah the good ol days; bushings, msc's, gold shocks :). I remember wanting it so badly and I couldn't even afford the sport! Thank you eBay!! 7001 = RC10T "Original" 7011 = RC10T "Sport Truck" 7035 = RC10T "Team Truck" "...

Re: Novak/Tekin ESC Fut J connectors???

I'm looking more for the plastic connectors rather than changing out the metal plugs. From what Can tell from looking at Tekin and Novak FUT connectors they look to be interchangeable. Just wondering if anyone has found a new source for them?

Thanks,
Quik

Re: The Tale of Two Trucks

Do you know if this mix also work without the utrasonic process? I mean, maybe puting the parts in a closed can with the solution for a few days and moving/revolving them from time to time? Maybe adding some silica sand as an abrasive? About your restoration, great job on the RC10T, it looks sweet!...

Re: C stamp chassis find/restore now w/pics

Mine took days of soaking to get it all. Try steel wool on the inside to remove some the "whiter" areas. Try #00 down to #0000. Even the windows can be steal wooled and polished with plastic or headlamp polish. Mine looked a lot like yours when i was done. It's going to take some elbow gre...

Re: C stamp chassis find

i wasn't saying that brake fluid fixed cracks, that's why I asked if there was anything better than shoe goo. I then was just commenting on the brake fluid for paint removal seeming to have mixed results. Sounds like a lot of people have trouble with it or perhaps the original paint itself etching ...

Re: At last a box art decal source!

What do you do with the .pdf? Who or how do you get them printed? I have a couple of full sheets of decals I'd like to scan before cutting up for use. I just don't know who can print up quality repos.

Soldering Station Recommendation?

Hey all,

Need some soldering station suggestions. I'm hoping to spend $100 or less. What do I need to look for in a a station? Features, wattage? There are a ton of them on eBay.

Thanks,
Quikl
