Re: LIPO Q

Why don't you run the lights off your reciever?
That is if you have an xtra channel port.

Re: cooling fan ?

Does any one know what the s pin on the tq link reciever is?
I'm guessing it means switch , So if i want the fan to come on when I flip the switch on My transmitter do I hook the red wire to + as usual and of course black to - .
Or do I have to hook red to s and black to - .

Re: cooling fan ?

Thanks coelacanth. I'll look into a Novak fan. If I can control the fan I will use less battery power and have a longer runtime which is why i want to keep the electrics cooler in the first place. And why not I have that extra button just sitting there on My controler. By the way that's really a nic...

Re: Newbie with a basket case RC10 project

I saw some where in here directions on how to dye plastic any color you want. I would use the search funtion at the top of the page and type in dye, plastic, color etc. Also if your thinking of going new school on your rx and tx the traxxas 2.4ghz tq link is the only way to go. Please pm me on your ne...

I'm thinking about adding a cooling fan for my electronics. Since I have a three channel transmitter I was thinking I could plug a 5v fan right into my reciever and manualy turn it on when My rc10 is upside down or stuck. This way it can be cooling down while it waits for me to come and put it back ...

Re: Airbrushing/masking questions

Hi. As far as preventing paint from creeping under your tape I have found that burnishing the outer edge of the tape with an object as hard as your finger nail. All you have to do is after youve applied your tape, rub along the edge with your thumbnail or if you cant get to an area use a piece of pl...

Re: Deans connectors

I found that if you first generously tin the connectors on the deans connector. Then you tin the wires and let them both cool down. Now heat the wire and add enough solder to make your connection the bring the soldering iron and the wire together down to meet the connectors the hot solder will meld ...

Re: New to me

Yeah mabe a year old but i'm worried about rippoffs. Anyway I was wondering also if I should get a 4wd or is 2wd good enough. I know 4wd will get you out of a tuff spot and help climbing over thing but is it good for racing. Well so far I hear i should get an rc10t4 or rc10b4 but what about the othe...
