Re: skatepark bashing
What is etiquette when sharing with skaters in a skate park? Obviously turns are taken, but do they mind?

Re: Racer's insurance?
You would need "licensed" inspectors taking apart the cars pre/post race for a necessary exam, have marshals trained in "accident fault" insurance, come up with a deductible schedule, and keep an eye out for bashers who decide to race because, "hey, free parts!"

Tl01 msc/receiver help
Uh, I've got the manual, but I am having some issues... Do you use double sided tape for a msc? And where the heck does the receiver go? It doesn't "fit" anywhere... Could someone help me? Pictures would be very useful, please

Re: Pinion gear on a mini-t
Yeah, the last "coaxing" with pliers I did ruined the pinion gear, so gear puller, here I come! Actually, I'll give it some dry silicone spray or wd40 first, then try, but I'm skeptical... How about some automotive penetrating oil? That might help too. Well, I don't have any experience wi...

Re: New to me
I've heard some people dont like driving 4wd, and I personally have only driven 2wd... If it is convenient, go to a local track and ask, heck, someone may even offer to let you test one or the other... Ymmv As far as getting ripped off, you can definitely mitigate the risk. Only buy from someone wit...

Pinion gear on a mini-t
Uh... Pinion gears in my VERY LIMITED experience are held on by grub/set screws. I took apart a mini-t in anticipation of rebuilding it for my toddler, and the pinion gear is on tight with no visible set screw. How is it held on? And this is the second pinion gear issue I've had, I am SERIOUSLY cons...

Re: New to me
I'm not buying a used one, because they are ultimately selling it for a reason.. Of course you can do what you woul like, but quite often you can find cars being sold for the righ reason to meet your purposes... IE selling out, getting out of the hobby, or because their track stopped that particula...

Re: New to me
1st its got to be brushless. 2nd it's got to have a 2.4 ghz rx and tx. Another thing to consider when buying used is you can buy a roller (ie sans electronics), and add your own servo, esc, motor, and then buy a 2.4 rx/tx of your choosing... You may pay a little more than a rtr car, but you are goi...

Re: New to me
Buy something used from a reputable seller, or someone you trust, and save 100+ dollars. Yes, there is SOME risk associated, but you can mitigated by finding someone who is selling who is either a regular to the community with good trade/seller feedback, or someone at your local track... If you're i...

Re: Looking for a good, but decent proced DSLR Camera
I've had a Nikon d50 for years, bought it when the d60 came out, and it has served me very well... They're up to d1,000,000,000,000,001 right now, but the d50 has been more than sufficient for all of my photography needs, and I have shot weddings, with high praises... After a while, it is all the sa...

Re: Solder Station - ToolCraft
I think the "Helping hand" is what I need for assistance in soldering... I try to hold a motor, a wire, a soldering iron, all in one hand, and it doesn't work... Heh... Maybe then I can move on from my $4 soldering iron to something a little more... usable.

Re: A losi mini-t for a 3 yr old? (Mostly a question for par
the biggest issue i had with my son when he was that age was his hands. they were just too small to hold a controller while working the throttle and trigger at the same time. even though the mini-t is not a fast vehicle i would still try to slow it down to toy grade speeds. Never thought about the ...
