Mines pre-ordered also, just 1 at this stage, may still get an original to sit alongside it

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
Excellent result, 2 for me I hope. I was definitely concerned when I saw the 1:1 though

Re: Full Sized RC10 Box Art at 2013 RCX Show!
As much as I appreciate the history and sentiment, and the interest in celebrating the old ASSociated RC10, I have to admit that there is no way in H E double squiggly-bits that is a good representation of the original. As a supported race buggy, sure, a nice idea for a paint scheme to bring the tw...

Re: Latest find. Kyosho Outlaw Ultima
I'll definitely watch your build with interest, here's a pic of mine http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/ww29/mtbkym01/Vintage%20n%20Re%20Release/IMG_1614.jpg Of interest, does yours have the chassis side guards that fill the gap between the chassis and body. I've been unable to locate any, and have ...

Re: Tamiya Fox re-re
I got an original Fox as a Christmas special package deal for $200 in 1988. After owning a used Hunter (and spending more than the purchase price trying to keep the gears from stripping and MSC from frying) the Fox was a dream to build and run. An interesting point with mine, it came with a Technit...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
The only reason you would spend tens of thousands to make a 1:1 RC10 is to use it an a promotional tool (advert) to drive interest and sales. They are hardly going to advertise the original RC10 and then say great, now we have your attention please buy a new completely different B5 or whatever. If ...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
Hmm, just thinking out loud, but if a 1/1 is being built commissioned by AE, maybe that is what the ad is about, a 1/1 as a 30th anniversary tribute, and there is no re-re in sight

I believe the word Nova originate from New, therefore "New Fox."keithrc wrote:What's the deal with calling it a "novafox"? If I bought one there's no way I'd be puting those decals on! Just looks wrong.

Restoring questions
I'm very keen on acquiring a Gold Pan of some description, but I've never owned an RC10 of any description before (the closest I've ever come is my SC10  ) I've been reading as much as I can, and have already learnt some tricks (peroxide for example), but the thing that concerns me is what or h...
