Re: How good are new bearings

Due to my puller builds, I became pretty obsessed with bearings in my quest to use the best of everything. What I found is that there are American manufacturers that still produce miniature bearings, but with a catch. They either don't sell to the general public, or you have to buy in large quantiti...

Re: Javelin alloy wheels?

Those look like Pargu wheels to me, and I believe he made various designs in that configuration. Why don't you contact him to see?

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!

I just acquired my first ever Edelbrock carb when I bought my F100. I always had Holleys (and 1 Demon, which is basically a "super Holley"). The Eddy is doing a fine job, haven't felt the need to touch it. I am intrigued, though, as it is very different. Same experience here. I've had Hol...

After posting I went and looked, and that's where I got the information from. Perhaps Tower didn't stock them at the time of printing the catalog.

Re: Reedy DS Racing Motor ?

I'll take a wild guess that it's been Frankenstein'd with bushings, and an endbell from a different motor. The armature could be from something else as well, and they just used the DS can.

Fantastic, thanks! :) Whatever documentation I pulled the Mega Motors information from must not have had that one listed.

Just a reminder (that I make every waffle) that those who donate this month retain their 'Super Member' status for next month as well.

Also, a major thanks to everyone who has entered/contributed! :)

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Yeah, hotlinking is a generally frowned upon practice so a lot of sites block it, I know we do. Still though, the WebP image format is becoming increasingly popular as time goes by so it's a good idea to make it allowable here. For example, if someone wanted to post an eBay image as an attachment, t...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

You're welcome. :) I thought that image extension was already enabled by default, but come to find out I had to add it manually. Just be mindful that if you're trying to hotlink images from other sites, they sometimes won't display depending on the sites security practices. For example, it appears e...

Dangeruss wrote: Fri May 24, 2024 8:23 pm Is there a workaround for posting links with .webp file extensions? The insert image button doesn't seem to get along with Webp images.

The fix is for me to add it as a supported image extension in which I just did. I tested it out, and it works great. Enjoy! :)

Re: Really off topic - End of an Era

We had a Honda push mower for a while that my father bought from a closing restaurant, and I remember how pleased he was with it. It looked similar to the one in your pic which leads me to believe they never really changed them aesthetically as this was going back probably 20 years. After a number o...

Re: ** Kyosho JJ Ultima Waffle **

I was going to send him a PM offering that as a solution, but I was way too sleepy. I'm up now though. So yeah, from what I can find, some countries either don't allow making donations to anything not registered with their governments, or they don't allow donations to be made through PayPa...
