My YZ-10, Broken Truck Wheel, Now Runner
Well, I have been away for a while and had to take a break from my plans with the truck. Hopefully will be able to get back to it soon. I did however get a chance to run in this last weekend with some stampedes. I'll have to say that even though the stampedes can jump way farther, the yz10 did it wa...

Re: New here, My YZ-10, Broken Truck Wheel
Done a little more work on the truck... Made a bumper out of aluminum since the plastic one was shot, almost looks identical. Replaced some of the stock screws with allen cap head screws Got new belts from eBay, straight from Korea but had to search for 870c not yz10. Cleaned the RC10 shocks and put...

Re: New here, My YZ-10, Broken Truck Wheel
It was really kind of weird though, it wasn't a drastic hit, just popped off. Of course it was asphalt, speed bump, and a little curb all at the same time :? Rest of the truck sustained no damage though, so that's a good thing. I am thinking I want to go the kyosho cvd route with a different style o...

Re: New here, My YZ-10, Broken Truck Wheel
Seen one of those bulkheads on ebay but somebody already won it. Got another broken wheel, Either these wheels are weak (could be just old) or the rubber is just not enough to protect them. I did notice on the back of the wheels though that there really isn't much reinforcement like the stock wheels...

UPDATE
Update, Would love to just restore this thing but its too much fun to let it sit on a shelf somewhere. So I plan on make it run and hopefully better then it ever has. Spending time with my son we got the thing pulled apart, cleaned up, and put back together again. Put on the replacement truck wheels...

Re: New here, My YZ-10, Broken Truck Wheel
They are aluminum. My brother made them for me when he worked for the local aerospace company during the 90s.
Steep? Should I set the ride height so they are more straight?

My YZ-10, Broken Truck Wheel, Now Runner
Hi all, I'm new to this blog and wanted to say hello. It is cool to see people still interested in the YZ-10. I recently discovered this site after pulling my YZ of the box that its been in for the last 20 years. Its still in decent shape but I can tell I must have beat on it quite a bit. Also I had...
