STOP using photobucket / Flickr / Image shack WHATEVER here!
Instead of replying to the thread “It sucks that pics are disappearing here”, I thought a direct title might be a bit more effective. I totally agree with hugger19 that it is really annoying that a lot of pictures with valuable information get lost over time. Since modern phones take fairly high res...

Re: Here we go again.....
I had a complete RPM gearbox so I cut the ears off just like I do for the Hot Racing cases. 20241212_224234.jpg The RPM case is said to eat idler gears but when I tried to research it further I'm not so sure it's as big of a deal as claimed. I'll give it a try and make my own opinion. I went with t...

That looks like a fun and HUGE event. Too bad no mid motor conversions are allowed. I understand why, but some kits fit right into that class and time frame. such as the Tekin RC10 conversion. Were there any others worth mentioning from back then? I think there was one for a Schumacher, and differen...

Re: VONATS Class Sponsorship
Huh. I thought it was in with the new threads when I came across it. Must have been in the Similar Topics suggestion by the VONATS thread I was reading. Oops. Either you re-awakend this thread, or I did with my misplaced post in this that I now moved to recent thread about the heritage class....

One of the hinge pins from the STRC Kit for the Traxxas Bandit / Rustler might fit lengthwise. The longer pins are all 1/8 inch diameter, the 2 shortest pairs are thinner (caster blocks and steering).
It’s a bit pricy if you’re just going to use one pair.

Re: Heratige Class discussion/petition VONATS 25'
Interesting and valid arguments. Now how many people participated in the comical class? Are the recent boom of comical conversions allowed to race there? Or is it just Wild Willies, comical Grashoppers and other factory available cars? What cars compete in the heavy metal class? Clod Busters, Midnig...

I say the blue AE shocks with the white Traxxas springs. Might have to swap spring cups accordingly,

Re: Here we go again.....
Something else to keep in mind is that the Nitro Rustler rear carriers position the rear axles out a couple mm, compared to the electric ones. Something to keep in mind if using CVD's. While the rear nitro (also hawk and that era) arm mounts pull the pivots closer together, compared with the curren...

Re: Here we go again.....
Aren’t the wide front RPMs the same width as the Rustler rears?

Re: Here we go again.....
He used Slash rear arms, which should make the width nearly even. Sorry to side track this topic a bit, but since you mentioned it, where do the slash arms fall in width wise? I have Rustler rears and Nitro Rustler rears. Are the Slash like the Nitro Rustlers or somewhere in between? Thanks, Tony

Re: Here we go again.....
Looking good so far, Now I do have some suggestions if you don’t mind, especially for a runner, if this build doesn’t become too nice for that. First of all, why’d you cut off the ears on the tranny case? I am sure you are aware yourself, those use a longer screw from the arm mounts to attach to. It...
