Re: srt to shortcourse questions
here we go. a pic of the final chassis. I cant complain about the handling of it as I dont have a lot of wheel time with it yet but things are promising. main issue with it now is eating the idler gear between the pinion and spur. had the aluminum in there first and it was gone in only about 20 minu...

Re: srt to shortcourse questions
its alive. I have run several packs through it and while there are some issues to work out I feel that this project was a success. I am showing the album of the pictures I have of it so far

Re: srt to shortcourse questions
IT'S ALMOST DONE. after some interesting problem solving I actually got the rolling chassis done last night and mounted the radio gear and wheels and tires!!. ran it up and down the alley behind the house a little this morning just as a little shakedown. need to work on oil and spring rates and some...

Re: srt to shortcourse questions
yes this one of the last if not the very last traxxas vehicle that was a pure race truck. I am not sure of my timeline but i believe it was introduces in 95 and was discontinued in 97. I may be of a year one or another but the is the approximate timeframe. It did include pro-line tires in the box. I...

Re: srt to shortcourse questions
well a couple of the ideas I wanted to are not working out quite the way I wanted. still going through with the project but I am certain there will be more incarnations of this vehicle come next winter. kinda bummed too because I had to pull a few parts of my good srt to make this work. the other on...

Re: slash 4x4 convert to 2wd
our track owner was like that about 1/8th scale for a while. but relented as more people showed up with them and he finally let them run or they would have taken all the racing elsewhere. while a 4x4sc will probably be harder on a track than a 2w it should not be much of a difference. esp it he trea...

Re: srt to shortcourse questions
actually I took a road trip today and went to a mom and pop type hobby shop and got some parts. turns out that what I thought was the longer arm is actually the correct one and the oddball arm was to short. it was not by much but enough that I noticed it. I think I will go with the stock components ...

Re: srt to shortcourse questions
ok good info to know but that brings up a couple other questions I have seen a few aftermarket cvd kits marketed as compatible with both the 2w and 2w slash? if the rear arms are in fact different lengths they would have to make it up where the inner hinge pin is mounted. so is this what they did or...

srt to shortcourse questions
high there my first post and its loaded. I have 2 srt trucks. one is in good shape and will not be touched. however the second which I got used was not original in some respects and pretty beat up. after about a 5-6 year gap of playing with my stuff I have decided to get back into racing. going out ...
