Re: Scorpion Lexan Tub

I purchased a couple for my scorpion/beetle projects but haven't done anything with them yet. I'll try to dig that stuff out this week and at least snap some pics to show the fit with the repop cover and og chassis.

J-sou's junk

I'll start slowly adding cars to this thread as I photograph them. I've got WAY more projects than complete cars, so bare with me  I'll start with a couple of my Associated cars since this is an RC10 forum  NIB RC10ds I picked up recently. Not sure if I should leave it NIB or build it or ...

Re: Sick new Tamiya Hornet release

I picked up a set of the black wheels to use on a future project, but that's about all I could see myself using from this kit...
Maybe if my g/f ever wants me to build her a car I'll pick one of these up.

Re: Snowhopper. Ski Patrol Beetle!

Thanks guys! And a special thanks to Gregg, I think he REALLY likes it  Lonestar got it, the 3rd shock prevents the front of the gearbox from doing that weird slapping thing when you nail the throttle. And Diggley nailed the body, its the Kamtec baja bug body. They make full fendered split bodi...

Snowhopper. Ski Patrol Beetle!

I've been working on this for a bit as time allows. Moved into a new home recently and have been really busy with house projects, but trying to get this wrapped up as I have time. It's about 85% there. It's Grasshopper based, and I tried to stick with a vintage look/theme. Custom parts are kind of p...

RCX is only a couple miles from where I live. Can't wait to see the vintage stuff on display!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Not exactly the same body but you can try emailing this guy and see where he got his Mardave Beetle body. http://mardaveforums.com/blog/2012/03/new-body-for-2012/ A little nicer looking IMO. Yes! That's the other version I found pics of. Looks like an updated version of the first one i posted. They...

Re: Fox (Small Vintage toy from late 80's)

Really cool! Did they make these for other tamiya models as well? A Grasshopper version would be really cool sitting on my shelf next to the 1:10 cars!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Mardave Banger body perhaps? http://www.mardave.co.uk/shells.html This one is very similar: http://www.mardave.co.uk/example-product-153.html I think you're right! It does seem to be Mardave and not Kamtec. I even have one of the Mardave "V-Dub" cars but didn't realize the two were from t...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

I've seen one of these bodies on a RC12 chassis, but never seen one in person. They rarely pop up for sale and no one yet has been willing to ship to the US yet. I really want one for my collection, but don't even know who made them or when they were made. I'm guessing maybe Kamtec from the early 80...
